We had only been in Phnom Penh for a short while and had walked across the Independence Square and through to the river front and the sun was starting to fall. We weren't quite ready for dinner and decided to stop off on the front for a cold beer or two. We chose the Khmer Boran which I believe is... More

I have been in Cambodia and Thailand many times, a restaurant like this is hard to find. The best food, staff, and atmosphere I have found in a long time.

I have lived (intermittently) in Phnom Penh since 2009, and I eat all my meals at restaurants. Just a few days ago a Cambodian colleague recommend this restaurant to me. And I had my dinner there. It was the tastiest Khmer food I have had in Cambodia. The prices were very reasonable, no more expensive than the average restaurant in... More

First and best Amok I had in Cambodia. The pepper beef was excellent. We had a long chat with the owner about the city architecture ( he speaks English and French). We are thinking to go back before leaving Phnom Penh.

We went here a few times during our stay in Phnom Pehn. The staff was great, and during our first visit we really enjoyed the pomelo salad, Plea Sach Ko (raw beef salad) and the fish amok. We asked if we could come back and learn how to make them. The chef didnt speak English, but that was ok with... More

We very much liked the choices offered here. We shared 5 mains. The fish amok was outstanding. We recommend the calamari, peppered beef and an entree serve of minced pork served with crispy rice and chicken curry. Good selection of beverages. Waiting staff were attentive and most helpful when choosing our dishes. Adventurous climb upstairs to a tastefully decorated room.

After arriving off the boat from Chau Doc we stumbled across this place to get some wifi and escape the persistent tuk tuk drivers. Fried rice was delicious and mango smoothie was great. Even got free dragon fruit afterwards! Wifi was quick and reliable too. Best though, was the staff who were friendly and understanding even when paying for a... More

The meal started with a complimentary nuts/home-made chips. A nice touch. We took the owner's advise and ordered the baked fish in leaves and mango salad. The combination was lovely and the fish amazing. Best meal we had in Cambodia

Khmer Borane is opposite the ferry port and we went in for lunch. Not busy at all and the staff were a touch laxidasical. The food we ordered, amok and fried rice was ok but when on holiday, a meal out is about the ambience and experience as much as the food for us so I can only rate it... More
