Nice cafe near Independence Monument

I visited Java Cafe with some friends during a recent visit to Phnom Penh. I enjoyed the Roast Beef Sandwich. Only downside was the wifi was very slow.

Nice bright restaurant. Very clean and well equipped. Comfortable. Food is good without being exciting. Coffee is quite good although not as good as the cafe thinks. Food basically western from breakfast food onwards

Great chicken fajitas. Gorgeous mixed berry smoothie. Cool decor. Worth a detour. Some interesting art too. Cakes looked amazing.

The salad was very nice and rich in flavour. The fruit smoothie drinks were also quite nice. Service was okay. They mixed up one of our dishes and added an extra dish onto our bill. Nothing significant but worth noting.

Stayed in Phnom Penh for 4 days and went there only once. What a shame! It is certainly the best meal i had in Cambodia: grilled chicken fajitas and berry smothie. Really big size portion, quality food and the smoothie was just delicious. Besides it's a quiet place, an art gallery as well. The Java Cafe is situated just near... More

I kept coming back here whether I'm alone, with my fiancé, or with family. Good ambiance, a quiet place beyond the busy streets. I enjoy their coffee and pastas. Blue cheese burger is a must. Cocktails a bit rough although they're a coffee shop but go for it during happy hours.

One of my favorite restaurants in Phnom Penh is Java Café. I really love the cozy feeling upstairs, just next to the independent monument and it is relaxing to watch the hustle and bustle of Phnom Penh, while enjoying a great coffee or a cocktail (happy hour late afternoon until 7pm). My favorite food is the California Salad with extra... More

We sat on the upstairs balcony for late afternoon cocktails(half price for a few hours). It was a great spot overlooking the Independence Monument and general busyness of Phnom Penh. Java has a colonial feel with comfy chairs and attentive service. We had been at FCC the evening before and I actually referred the Java Cafe. We ended up having... More

I tend to review restaurants based on the location. In Phnom Penh, I don't judge pizza the way I would in New York. But this place was really great. Lime juice and pumpkin ravioli were perfect lunch. My husband had a panini and cauliflower soup. Again outstanding. And we then had to try the baked goods that other patrons were... More
