fantastic place for khmer food

we had banana blossom salad and chicken with smoked eggplant ( sorry for forgetting local names). I have been to different Khmer restaurant in Phnom penh and unlike all others having a heavy booklet of menu, Frizz has selected a small menu which they are good with. of course you need to have a... read more

Our 7th visit to Cambodia and we always include a visit to Frizz for what used to be "THE BEST" fish amok in Pnom Penh. Not anymore. No one else in restaurant and waiter said we were first customers of the day!! And it was 1:30. Mine was a hardly warm and cold in middle congealed lump with coconut cream... More

First night in Phnom Penh, eager to try out authentic Khmer food i drag my husband and son to Frizz. Confusion on the exact location, some amount of walking up and down this street and we come upon the highly rated Frizz. Its absolutely empty and looks dead only the way a place clinging on to some remnant of past... More

This is a small inconspicuous restaurant which was empty the whole time we were having our lunch there. Anyhow, we ordered their Banana Blossom Salad and the Fish Amok but contrary to reviews that we had read earlier, we found the food uninteresting and not to our taste. We have tasted much nicer Fish Amok in many other restaurants in... More

Fortunately I don't usually have to write such a bad review and this is my first 1 star review ever (and hopefully the last). The Frizz is on the trendy Street 240 and it seems to me they don't care about having regular customers because they can easily rely on clueless tourists. When we arrived the restaurant was empty and... More

Close to the White Mansion Hotel. Good options for local and international. Food tasted great. Prices were good.

We loved the banana blossom salad. I had the lak lok which was way too salty. My husband had the amok which was good but not great. This was disappointing because he took their cooking class and had wonderful amok then. Good reataurant but not great.

My girlfriend and I tried this place after reading about it in a guide provided by our hostel. We had the amok - Cambodia national meal - which is fish cooked in a banana leaf with some coconut, and the banana flower salad. Both meals were super fresh and really tasty. You could tell that a chef actually prepared our... More

After a four-year absence from Phnom Penh, we were keen to revisit "frizz" and enjoy their fabulous Fish Amok. We were not disappointed. We love this little restaurant tucked away in 240 Street (and a little hard to find after four years ;-). The food at frizz is wonderful and the service pleasant.

They claim to cook the best Amok (a traditional dish) in town. I tried it and it differed greatly from any other dish of Amok I have tried and was no to my taste. It seem ed to be just solid fish.
