Dhaka has slowly been gaining a reputation as a bastion of food innovation. And I don't doubt that for a bit. I have been dining in some of Dhaka’s best-kept secrets for many years now, and I must say it's quite an experience. This so-called food revolution happening in Dhaka. And for those of you searching for a culinary experience... More

wanna get out of Dhaka City, Mermaid Gallery Cafe, at progoti sharani is the one which can give you this flavor. They have got a very nice location with car parking facility. The ambiance is as good as always (they are the best in interior decoration). Food is good here, they have one of the best pizza chefs in town.... More

I was so happy to find it in Dhaka now. the interior is just mind blowing like Cox's Bazar. the food is of course the same quality and so so so tasty. though the price is bit expensive but I don't mind for the best food in a cozy room. service is also very good.

Easy location albeit with a rather poor entrance area with parking nearby. Good spot for a night evening meal in Dhaka. Mostly sea food but some chicken/beef dishes too. Almost nothing on offer for vegetarians. The prawn dishes are all excellent as it the calimari. Try the rice/bean mis as a side. You can even BYOB as alcohol in Bangladesh... More

Like almost everything, from location to interior, food to service. Price should be considered reasonable considering location.

Really liked this place. We were looking for a place to eat at 3pm and most places in the area were closed. I guy handed us a flier and said it was open right now so we went in. After a dubious walk down a dark hallway and two flights of dirty stairs, we entered a delightful oasis. Sort of... More

I had previously been to the Mermaid when it was located in Baridhara and it wasn't terribly good, just really nicely decorated. The new place on Gulshan 2 circle is much better. It's on the second floor and does pretty well at keeping the incessant noise out. The lighting isn't too bright and there is lots of wood furniture, decoration... More

Nice place, i have been there twice, one with a group of colleagues during lunch time, and second time with a significant other for dinner. Both times were excellent. The ambiance, the superb service, and nice presentation of food. Maybe a little bit on the expensive side, but the service and place balance it out. Recommend the stuffed chicken, snapper,... More
