Travelling through Armenia and Georgia we fancied some Italian food for a change. Have eaten Italian food all over the world so was pleasantly surprised by quality of cooking and ingredients in this delightful restaurant. Went there on two consecutive nights as so impressed by food and service. Served a choice of Armenian wine which was a bonus. Went to... More

I love the warm atmosphere, food is always good and they have the best steak in town. Also I love homemade ice cream !

It`s a nice Italian restaurant in city center. The prices are a bit high, compared to most restaurants nearby, but the quality of food is also better. Try steaks and pasta here.

This is, without a doubt, my favorite restaurant in Yerevan. There really is not even a close second -- even among many places that are much more expensive. The food is excellent and authentically Italian. In fact, it is among the best Italian food that I have had anywhere in the world, and I have lived in Italy for extended... More

My wife and I look forward to and always dining at Ankyun Italian Restaurant. The atmosphere is pleasant and the they have the nicest English speaking waitstaff. The food is expertly prepared and an affordable wine list that includes a California Zin. Their salads and soups are tasty and honestly think they serve the best tenderloin stake in Yerevan. We've... Sounds strange that an Italian restaurant with an Armenian name in Yerevan should have excellent steaks, but there is something absolutely magical about Artak's aging of filet. It's consistently excellent. There are also some wonderful salads, and very authentic thin-slice pizzas (favorite is with prosciutto and arugula), and the linguine tradizionale (lemon and parmesan), and pinioli (pine nuts), are amazing... After a few weeks of travelling in the Caucasus, we wanted a change from the local cuisine and took the LP advice for Ankyun. For the duration of our meal we felt as if we left Armenia and landed in Italy: REAL Italian pizza (not the khachapuri with ketchup you usually get), quality pasta, Parmesan cheese and Italian music, all... I can't imagine how this restaurant has any poor reviews. The prices are definitely higher than many places in Yerevan, but I think the food is well worth the price. I may have a different perspective re: price having lived in Manhattan for 7 years and now Sydney, but finding eggplant parm that tastes like my grandmother's is priceless! We... More

We stayed in a hotel around the corner from this restaurant and went there for dinner one night. The experience was very good and we were sorry not to have more time to come back. We were in asparagus season, so had a starter and soup from asparagus, lovely. Then we shared caprese salad, they have Armenian made mozarella and... More
