We have been operating since 2008 and hold half day cooking classes for visitors to Nha Trang at a cost of $24 USD per person. It is a great experience of travelling to the local market, buying food and then preparing 3 dishes as chosen by the guests. We also provide a small recipe book at the completion of the tour, as a memento and keepsake. We are also keen to differentiate ourselves from all the other dining places in Nha Trang and give the customer a unique Vietnamese experience. One area is, we are strongly supporting 12 local orphanages. I spent 2 months travelling through Nha Trang & Vietnam & spent a lot of my time with the children at orphanages. As a result, I am trying to give back to these kids, by teaching them life skills and how the real world operates, outside of the usual visits and photo opportunity. That's where the idea for Lanterns came. We invite kids and their careers to each at least one day per month, but any time they wish to come. We encourage the schools/orphanages to allow the older kids to gain work experience at our place and meet the people who visit Vietnam first hand, in a friendly helpful environment. One thing I am strongly committed to, is making sure the kids are not exploited in any way and nothing is ever done without discussing it & getting approval from the carers involved.

Best restaurant in Nha Trang

We spent a week in Nha Trang and ate out of our hotel most evenings. Once we found this place in Lonely Planet and went there we knew there was nowhere else to go - so we ate there 4 times. The staff running the restaurant are the nicest, friendliest, and happiest I have ever come across. The food... read more

This restaurant was very busy and a bit cramped. The food is tasty and good value. The service is prompt and friendly despite the volume of diners.

I had the pho ga and spicy fried tofu. Both were very good and they gave 20% off for lunch. The waitresses were very kind and attentive! One was very concerned that they had forgotten to turn on the fan behind me; they were so nice!

We had a late dinner here. The food and service was good. We ordered the crispy noodles with pork (which was amazing). We also ordered lemongrass chicken and sea bass. The lemongrass chicken was maybe a little too strong. If you want spicy food though, their idea of spicy is not at all. We asked for the chicken to be... More

After reading reviews and seeing the limited restaurants you'd expect in a resort I had hopes for this place. The staff were very friendly and quick to serve. The decor is interesting and whilst its one of the better restaurants in Nha Trang its nowhere near the high quality of food I have come to expect in Vietnam. The milkshakes... More

Really good sizzling BBQ that they cooked at the table. A lot of food for the price. We got the combination of meats and vegetables for 2 and it was more than enough food for lunch. Also, their tangy hot sauce is amazing.

Wasn't planning on going to a restaurant more than once during our trip, but after some disappointment with some of the other restaurants, we returned. The food, the service and the atmosphere is great. We wanted to try Yens, but it was closed for the Tet. Out of the places we ate, this was definitely the best.

Good quality food at reasonable prices , good variety to choose from , from street food to whole fish .The fish & chips are beautifully cooked , although not a lot of taste .The chicken breast with mushroom sauce is such a big portion , you can barely finish it . The profits they make does go to the children's... More
