Description: We have been operating since 2008 and hold half day cooking classes for visitors to Nha Trang at a cost of $24 USD per person. It is a great experience of travelling to the local market, buying food and then preparing 3 dishes as chosen by the guests. We also provide a small recipe book at the completion of the tour, as a memento and keepsake. We are also keen to differentiate ourselves from all the other dining places in Nha Trang and give the customer a unique Vietnamese experience. One area is, we are strongly supporting 12 local orphanages. I spent 2 months travelling through Nha Trang & Vietnam & spent a lot of my time with the children at orphanages. As a result, I am trying to give back to these kids, by teaching them life skills and how the real world operates, outside of the usual visits and photo opportunity. That's where the idea for Lanterns came. We invite kids and their careers to each at least one day per month, but any time they wish to come. We encourage the schools/orphanages to allow the older kids to gain work experience at our place and meet the people who visit Vietnam first hand, in a friendly helpful environment. One thing I am strongly committed to, is making sure the kids are not exploited in any way and nothing is ever done without discussing it & getting approval from the carers involved.

Ever wondered what all those corner food stalls sell? Ever wondered what the locals are eating at the street stalls? This tour will answer your questions and satisfy the biggest hunger. We only noticed the leaflet for this tour whilst having dinner at Lanterns but it piqued our curiousity. 200000 vD each and we were on our way.... Phuc, our... More

Enjoyed the roll-your-own pork rolls, but not the merlot wine by the glass (ugh!). A bottle of malbec was excellent. Vegetable curry was just OK and the waitress on a busy night forgot one of our dishes.

Only stopped in for a quick bowl of soup but the food was really good and the many friendly staff working handled the busy restaurant well. The food was a little above our budget but was still very reasonable for traditional vietnamese dishes that I'm sure are delicious. We will be returning next time we are in Nha Trang.

Right in the morning, our chef Linh took us to the local market called Xom Moi by Cyclo or Xich Lo to buy the ingredients. At the market, Linh showed us how to choose the best ingredients. Back at the restaurant, Linh explained the steps to prepare the meal, then we could try cooking on our own. The starter was... More

Loved it. My son and I shred the BBQ at the table. We had a selection of chicken, beef and seafood which we cooked at the table....fun! My wife and other son shared the whole snapper which was also delicious. Can't say more....we wanted to go back again but ran out of time.

This restaurant offers traditional Vietnamese dishes as well western cuisine. Personally I prefer the traditional dishes including Pho and Vietnamese BBQ. My favorite dish was a Broth for 2 in which we cooked our own seafood and vegetables. The drinks are at local prices and the staff are very friendly and speak great English. I highly recommend this place when... More

Really affordable home cooked food in lovely surroundings. The waitresses and staff are lovely, so friendly. Service is quick, it's very professional. This restaurant does a lot for charities and even cooks for the poor in the morning. Don't miss eating here, and read all that they do to help the unfortunate. Truly the best.
