Great Vietnamese food

We had a light lunch here, a couple of salads and some spring rolls. Lovely subtle flavours typical of vietnamese food. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Most (all?) of the clientele seemed to be tourists, but in small groups. We would certainly come here again.

We were recommended this restaurant by our Vietnamese guide which is always a good move. Only built two years ago, this building looks like a piece of French colonial architecture set in its own grounds within the walls of the Royal Citadel. We ate out on the upstairs balcony which we would recommend if you are a couple. The choice... More

Sitting on the veranda, looking out on the surrounding village, it was easy to be transported back to French Colonial times. The French owner and Vietnamese manager have done an excellent job of creating this feeling in an old house from the French era. The meal was ok and the service was acceptable. For the price the staff's foreign language... More

If you're looking for something more than touristy places or street vendors, perhaps a special occasion or a last night in town, then look no more: Les Jardins is your place! Set on the other side of the Perfume River on the outer walls of the Citadel, an old house turned restaurant serves an excellent mix of local cuisine and... More

The food here was good. After a few hours of walking around the Citadel, I found this restaurant by looking on Trip Advisor. I had the grilled shrimp with red peppers and lemon grass and market vegetables in garlic.......both yummy. I'd go back for sure. I little pricier than some others, but worth it. Service good, ate outside. Really nice.

Set in a French colonial villa close to the Citadel this restaurant offers high quality French and Vietnamese food. We had two of the fixed Vietnamese menu's and we're very pleased with the quality of the food. The service is also superb. Ask for a table on the firstfloor balcony.

The restaurant is easy to find, near the Citadelle. It is located in an old colonial house, nicely decorated. The service is fast, the plates are decorated with vegetable scultures, the food is tasty and the portions are large. The staff is well trained and helpfull. They offered us to order a taxi as well. Not much to say... TRY... More

The food was good, but the prices were double than they are on the other side of the river. The setting was nice and the service was excellent. We got dropped here by our driver after seeing the tombs and before going to the Citadel. You could probably do better but it's not a bad place to end up for... More

Ok to preface, I'm a street food lover and always find the absolute best food by stumbling upon little sidewalk joints, so that's where I'm coming from. My boyfriend and I tried Les Jardins on what happened to be Valentine's Day, to splurge a little (and mainly to get a bottle of good wine. We miss wine in Asia). Right... More

French colonial meets Vietnamese..... what a beautiful restaurant. We sat upstairs on the balcony. The welcome and service was fantastic. The food (we went for Vietnamese) was delicious. It had a great atmosphere and music playing in the background. A real treat and deserved of its status as number one. Would go back in a heart beat..... 😀
