the setting is nice- in the Citadel, especially if you can get a table on the veranda. However, the service is perfunctory and the food is a bit tired and boring. We didn't stay in Hue long so I can't recommend any great alternative, but manage your expectations on this one.

We were recommended to go to this restaurant by the concierge at our hotel. The restaurant is located in the old town in a very nice and luxurious colonial style house. We tried mostly Vietnamese food, they are in good quality and decently prepared.

This restaurant gets great reviews from many sources and lives up to the expectations. The atmosphere, food and service were great. It's quite close to the Citadel. The menu has French and Vietnamese choices, so there should be something for every taste. Try going there by cyclo as recommended by Lonely Planet.

This excellent restuarant was recommended by our tour guide and was a short taxi ride from our hotel. The menu was reasonably priced and had a good choice of local and western dishes. Great service. We enjoyed it so much we went twice!

This is my second time dining here, both times with a very large group of family and friends. It is no secret why this is the best place to eat in Hue. The food will exceed all of your expectations and the service is 5 star. If you are in Hue you must take a cyclo ride into the Citadel... More

Very nice restaurant on the Citadel side of the river. The fare is Vietnamese with a French flare. We went for lunch after seeing the palace and a terrific meal. The pork with sesame was especially memorable.

The setting in this colonial house was lovely. We sat in the terrace outside, and although the tables are quite close to one another, not allowing for much privacy, it was still really enjoyable. We had almost the entire Hue specialties section of the menu, and the food was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was also great. Highly recommended.

We had had an exhausting morning and wanted a convenient place to eat before tackling the Citadel. We had suggested La Carambole (same ownership), which we had read about in the Rough Guide, but our guide recommended this place. She was right! The staff were attentive and courteous. We asked if we could eat on the balcony on the first... More
