Found this place next door to the hotel I was staying in not knowing what to expect but both me and my partner very impressed. Best Vietnamese food do our trip so far, with a chef that understands the importance of seasoning. The price also unbeatable.

Liberty bar and restaurant is positioned just outside of a main street. It has an owner who really likes western music and that turns the bar into a great mix of asian hospitality and a laid back atmosphere!

As one reviewer stated it away from the main backpacker hoards. However in reality it is in an alley with a number of cheap hotels which are popular with travellers. However it's only a 5 minute walk from DMZ bar and the Lonely Planet recommended hostels. It's certainly a bit quieter but still aimed at the same crowd, loud music... More

Stopped at Liberty Bar because the lady said it was huda's but they hadnt changed the signs yet (Huda's reviews are all recent). Food and drinks were cheap. Drinks good. Food average. Nothing special and I'd try somewhere else next time. Staff was friendly.

Visted this bar/restaurant several times, great respite away from the hordes. Drinks were good, food was Ok, but it was the atmosphere that I loved. I'd spend part of my afternoon updating my blog (good wi-fi), having a drink and bite to eat, chatting with whoever might be playing pool, never hassled. Nice family runs the place Reminded me a... It was just few meters away from our hotel, so we've never had any idea to go there, but on our final night in hue we were too tired to go anywere else, and it was definately one of the best experiences we've had in this city. The owner is very friendly, atmosphere in the bar is very chilled out.... More

I was staying across the street and went there a couple of times for drinks and always had a great time,. The staff is friendly and i even got to play free pool with the bartender as it was a quiet night. I haven't tried it as a restaurant but heard good things about it being some kind of family...
