Monks and mushrooms

There is something very special about Buddhist vegetarian cooking and this restaurant was a great find. The monks were chanting next door as we ate our fried mushrooms and other delicacies in a pleasant garden pavilion. Very little English was spoken but the service and food spoke fore themselves.

My tour guide recommended we go here and as the only vegetarian in the group I was thrilled. Thankfully he ordered for us as the English spoken by staff by minimal at best. We had a salad with strips of fake ham and veges and some spring rolls which were delicious and a huge hot pot with noodles etc and... More

we've eaten in lien hoa three times and everything was so nice - authentic vietnamese food to unbelievable cheap prices. taste the com dia and the fried jack fruit! the meals are mostly (or entirely?) vegan - at least our meals didn't contained eggs or milk. around 5 o'clock the restaurant is full of vietnamese people. we enjoyed the outdoor... We went tonthe restaurant 2 nights in a row because the food was just awesome and crazy cheap for what you get. Very authentic and a lovely variety of vegetarian dishes. This was probably some of the best food i have eaten in Vietnam!

We had quite high expectations of Lien Hoa but in the event of our visit we were a little disappointed. It's likely you won't know what you're ordering, even with the baffling English translations, and the staff working that night didn't seem to have enough English to recommend us dishes when we'd chosen something that wasn't available. The mixed rice... More

The food here is great and with excellent value for money.. We went there twice. They cook limited and hence some items finish, the staff speak broken English but gave us good suggestions. I would recommend you try the mixed veg steam pot (small is good for 2 ppl) and the tamarind juice with milk. A must try even for... More

The food here is quite good, and pretty well priced. The highlight for us was probably the fried jackfruit, which was prepared in an entirely unexpected way (think fried pulled pork, but jackfruit instead of pork). The iced Saigon coffees were nice, too. We arrived at 8.30 and though the food came out very quickly, I wouldn't recommend arriving much... More

After trying many restaurants in Huê, Lien Hoa beat them all. Best vegetarian food in town, hands down. Don't miss this.

The choice is wide even though it's a vegetarian menu. Good quality of food and great service, fast and efficient. The bill is probably the most positive surprise... less than €10 for 2 and fully satisfying. A "must" if you come to Hue.
