Tried this place out with two others, not fussy eaters at all. Ordered 6 dishes and could only say good things about one. This dish was the usuall Vietnamese water spinach, can't really go wrong with that. A lot of fake meat products were used which were really not that great. Something very spam-like was also used in the stir... More

Just had dinner here and the place was very clean, the food incredibly tasty and different and it was so cheap. I can't really remembered what we ordered as the names are pretty funny but one was at the top of the list of foods 'made form paste' - these are basically all rice noodles, with the first one being... Extensive menu of local delights. The broken English translations make it even more enjoyable. We had 'Nem' which are Hue's version of spring rolls, boiled spinach which came with soy and chilli, friend soya paste (tofu) in tomato sauce and two other dishes I can't remember the names of but all were amazing. Best meal I've had in Hue.

Lien Hoa offers an extensive menu of vegetarian choices at great prices. The quality is excellent and it is definitely a little off the tourist track. Little English is spoken, and that is one of the things I love. The menu pictures and translations make ordering easy.

This is a nice vegetarian restaurant, with food that is both delicious and cheap. The menu is extensive, and it was hard to pick. The waitress noticed it and promptly suggested 3-4 dishes we could share between the 2 of us. And they were all good! As a side note - as I was looking up reviews of vegetarian restaurants... More

Excellent vegetarian food, even though I am not a vegetarian and usually prefer meat. Cheap and with loads of locals eating here, mainly students, it cannot go wrong. Try the pot which you share. It is excellent. We ate here twice during our three day stay. The restaurant is basic in other aspects.

Just seat, don't look at the garbage on floor, don't clean the table with a tissue and see how dirty it is, don't look at the kitchen, don't look at the girl mixing up used soya sauce, don't complain about the cool dishes, don't complain about the dirty chop sticks, well...if you manage to don't do any of those things,... As a veggie - having lived and travelled in SE Asia for over a year - it was great try everything and share good with friends. The restaurant is a bit messy but it adds to the charm! All the locals smiled at us and you can ask the waiter for things that you see on other peoples tables as... More

After reading all the reviews here we decided to give it a go: Yes, it's not the tidiest place in town, but the food was delicious, our waitress was extremely helpful, and it definitely had character. As per the below, highly recommend the steam pot, and also what I think was translated as "Twelve Predestined Affinity" but was a lovely... More
