The restaurant was in an elegant traditional wooden building in a country setting slightly on the outskirts of town. The setting was serene, the food excellent, the staff attentive. The evening was a highlight of the trip.

This restaurant was outstanding from the service to the yummy food. We arrived on a day when it was raining very heavily and there were staffs waiting for us at the front gate with massive umbrellas. The overall service was fantastic!!! I couldn't fault them. The food is another thing altogether! So so yummy!!! I could eat there everyday. We... More

We visited the Ancient Hue restaurant during an Asian Trails tour. The food was excellent but we were blown away by the presentation - flowers, birds and shrimps carved from vegetables. We complimented the staff on this and they got the chef to come up and demonstrate how it was done amazing. Never seen a carrot dragon before. Their skill... More

We were blown away by the beauty of the place. Wonderful old house, lovingly restored. We dined in thge gorgeous upstairs dining room (there are 3) overlooking the lovely romantic garden with twinkling lights. The food was good, very tasty - with good sized portions. We had starters & couldn't manage dessert, sadly! The service was not top notch, empty... More

I had the most amazing dinner, fit for a king at Ancient Hue Restaurant, Hue. I was met at the door by welcoming staff and was taken on a tour of the beautiful restaurant and gardens. The ambience was exquisite as was the food and service. I enjoyed Mix Rolls as starter, then Duo Chicken for main and finished off... More

This was one of the highlights of eating out in Vietnam - wonderful food, beautifully presented in a traditional building in a lovely garden setting. Well-worth the short taxi ride (about 70000 dong) from the dross of the centre.

We had the most fantastic time last night at your superb restaurant. The whole evening was made very special by your very attentive staff and the wonderful food that was prepared for us by your chefs. The costumes we wore made us feel a part of history and the band also created a great atmosphere. We booked "The Royal Package",... More

After reading reviews was very excited to go - felt like they "westernized" the local food to suit the palate of visitors, which I understand, but only issue is that the menu suggests Vietnamese flavors on certain items that weren't there - eg - Waldorf salad (it was mayonnaisey and inedible to us) that said lemongrass and subtle flavors -... Had to go a second time before leaving Hue. Resembling a chinese palace set up, the food is absolutely divine. Although difficult to find, it is worth the taxi trip. Staff extremely friendly. I was reated by the owner, Michelle, to a tour of the several rooms available for different events. Furnishing is beautiful but the highlight of this place... More
