Good price for decent Vietnamese food

My mother and I visited Banana Mango for lunch, as it was across the street from our hotel, Huong Giang, and recommended by our tour guide. We ordered spring rolls with pork for an appetizer, crispy noodles with chicken, and squid with vegetables for entrees, and a large water and can of diet coke... read more

Pushed to us by our guide. Cheap and pleasant, but struggled to find any dish with any taste. Probably aimed at western visitors who don't want any local flavours.

We ate here twice and both times were very satisfied. Extensive menu, prompt service. The crunchy noodles were the best I have ever had. Restaurant came highly recommended and we were not disappointed. This is a casual eatery so don't expect luxury surroundings. That aside the food is excellent and has good value. Use extreme caution crossing streets. Cars and... More

A great place for a light lunch. Fresh and flavoursome. Smoothies are fabulous! Great spring rolls and pancakes.

its not much to look at but the price and food make up for it. Try it you will like it. We were told by the locals to try banana mango. They know best. $2 beer. Woot.

My first meal in Hue, and it was very good. Also loved the ginger tea served in a lovely, little teapot and tiny cup.

Recommended by our Trailfinders/Exotissimo guide, set menu was $8a head plus the local white, which we're getting used to! Started with shrimp crispy pancakes, salad, chicken with ginger and garlic then beautiful steamed shrimps with no messy shells, food was brilliant so was delightful smiling service...and then they produced a birthday cake for my husband and everybody sang to him.... We were taken to the Banana Mango by our tour organiser for lunch during our tour of Hue and area. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and it wasn't very long before nice cold drinks were in front of us. We selected the food from the menu and we all enjoyed an excellent meal. If I return to Hue... More
