Popped in here for lunch as it was near our hotel. Ordered beef fried rice and fried chicken and chips. Both dishes were very tasty. As usual, western food is quite pricy compared to Vietnamese food. Rice was 60,000d and chicked was 90,000d. When we visited, it was very busy due to a large tour group. If it looks like... More

Friendly service at a good price. We returned to this cafe for breakfasts, cool drinks, lunches and dinner after exploring the streets during the time we were in Hue. l would recommend this cafe to anyone visiting the city.

We ate here 3 times on our short stop in Hue. We loved the breakfasts and sandwiches. Great place for a quick, simple meal for a good price!

We spent the day in Hue, Vietnam with our private guide, Thuan of Hue Private Excursions and he asked us what type of food we would like to eat for lunch and we told him Vietnamese. He brought us to the Banana Mango Restaurant and that was the perfect suggest. We enjoyed delicious, well priced, and an authentic Vietnamese meal... More

This little restaurant was across the road from our hotel and right next door to a busy bakery. We went twice and both times all the other diners were western families or couples. The staff speak english and happily show you how to put some of the dishes together (wrapping, dipping, mixing, chopping up........whatever). They have a wine list with... More

Had a scrumptious meal here with friends. Varied menu of local delights, great fruit shakes, interesting selection of Hue dishes (slightly different from those all around Vietnam). Hue is definitely the food capital of Vietnam (we even ate at a Hue-style restaurant in Ho Chi Minh because the food was so delicious) - perhaps that 'royal' legacy adds to the... More

Banana Mango is just an "okay" place--nothing memorable about the food, service, or restaurant. If you just need a quick bite to eat, this place is fine. But don't go out of your way to get there. The food was simple and standard. A tad on the pricier side compared to other restaurants, but not by much. Location is perfect--right... More
