This little restaurant was across the road from our hotel and right next door to a busy bakery. We went twice and both times all the other diners were western families or couples. The staff speak english and happily show you how to put some of the dishes together (wrapping, dipping, mixing, chopping up........whatever). They have a wine list with... More

Had a scrumptious meal here with friends. Varied menu of local delights, great fruit shakes, interesting selection of Hue dishes (slightly different from those all around Vietnam). Hue is definitely the food capital of Vietnam (we even ate at a Hue-style restaurant in Ho Chi Minh because the food was so delicious) - perhaps that 'royal' legacy adds to the... More

Banana Mango is just an "okay" place--nothing memorable about the food, service, or restaurant. If you just need a quick bite to eat, this place is fine. But don't go out of your way to get there. The food was simple and standard. A tad on the pricier side compared to other restaurants, but not by much. Location is perfect--right... More

This restaurant was right by my hotel so I ate here twice. The food was exactly what you would expect from a tourist restaurant. There were lots of stir fry and noodle options and the two dishes I ordered were a little oily but satisfied my hunger. The fruit smoothies were fantastic so I would highly recommend them. The staff... More

We had lunch in here twice. One we ate in the restaurant and the other time, we got a take away. We had the chicken sandwiches both times and they were absolutely delicious! We asked for no fries with our sandwiches so they discounted our meals. I would definitely recommend eating here.

Asia Hotel bellboy knows his restaurants as this was second good recommendation. Good value and well presented local and western food. Enjoyed fish in claypot and local rice pancakes. Loved the local artist's paintings as very discussed possibilty of taking one home with us g . a

My wife and I attended at the Banana Mango Restaurant twice in July 2014. Once for dinner and once for lunch. The quality of the food was outstanding and great value for money. The staff were extremely friendly, helpful and efficient. The restaurant is clean and tidy, and obviously has an excellent reputation particularly amongst tourists. I have no hesitation... More

Was just wandering by and the simplicity caught our eye. Glad we stopped by. Very fresh food cooked just right, with enough spices to flavour but not over power. Menu items for the young kids as well.

We were also recommended this restaurant by our guide and we were glad we came. We wouldn't have walked in if it wasn't recommended as it is very unassuming and bland decor. But we were very happy with the food. We really loved the local specialty of Banh Khoai, they were delicious. We also had the lemon and ginger chicken,... More
