After 5 days of (delicious) street food we decided to treat ourselves to a restaurant meal. I wish we hadn't bothered. The food was poor to average and extremely expensive for the quality. Service was very uninterested. And to top it all off halfway through our meal a rat ran through the restaurant. There must be better places to spend... More

Came here for dinner as wanted to try something else than highly rated TA places. Music was loud but when asked staff turned the volume down. Shrimp sautéed with nuts main course (65kVND) was rather a vegetable stew with few shrimps and nuts than a well presented shrimp main. Sautéed morning glory was my favorite (32kVND). Crab soup was okay... More

Small bar (biggest in Hue) in the basement with live music sometimes. During the day, there's a coffee shop facing the perfume river. Cool breeze and a gem to find since it's hidden from the street. Check it out.

Totally tasteless soups. Waiters terrified of their boss. Boss looks like the local mafia lord, constantly screaming at his staff (plus the ones from the bar across the street he apparently also owns). Soups simply terrible. The waiter taking away our food dropped a glass which I caught in time, I thought the guy would die of a heart attack.... More

We ordered clay pot pork, Fried rice and Butter prawns. The butter prawns were nice but there were only three on the plate. Its quite pricey considering the amount of food you get. The papaya juice was delicious but was not cold.

Visited in mid afternoon, only one other table occupied. Stewed duck was excellent. Fall off the bone tender without being overcooked. The sauce complimented it and the veggies (carrot, mushroom, onion) well. Second dish was steamed veggies. Was pleasantly surprised they were al dente and that cabbage was not part of the mix, just as the server said. Service was... More

We ate here last night-inspired by TA reviews, maybe that was the problem. The restaurant was packed,we secured a table, placed our order fairly promptly...then the soda and wine were served fairly fast... BUT no food for 45 minutes. we had ample time to observe that the red wine was kept in the fridge-but the white wasn't. Waiter dropped a bottle of... More

We wanted to avoid the touristy restaurants and came across this local restaurant near our hotel. They werent very busy which was a shame as they deserve to be. We were in Hue for two nights and decided to eat there both nights- why try something else when you have a good experience the first time.
