Cheap and cheerful with lovely photographs decorating the walls

Mandarin Cafe is a cheap and cheerful place. The food is fine and good value for the price. There are lots of beautiful photos on the walls that make you feel very good about being in Vietnam. Thanks to Trip Advisor, I decided to take my parents to the Mandarin Cafe on our 2nd night staying in Hue. All 3 of us were extremely pleased we did. The food was fresh, unpretentious & very tasty; we shared the beef noodles, banh khoai & crispy sweet & sour pork, washed down with bottles of local Hue beer, Huda.... More

This restaurant is very cosy and the staff are so friendly. The menu choice is plentiful and a wide range of western dishes if you don't fancy the local cuisine. The owner is also an incredible photographer and his artwork is showcased on the walls. He gives out free postcards to guests. Definitely worth a visit.

Great food. We had chicken and cashews, beef and vegetables, and calamari. Mr Cu is a photographer and proudly displays his work on the walls of the cafe. Note: the address is correct the pin drop is not.

Excellent A very friendly and great value cafe. Definitely worth a visit. The spring rolls (seafood) were particularly tasty. The manager came over and introduced himself and shared with us some of the local photographs he had taken ( kindly gave us a couple of beautiful postcards ).

Staff and owner are very inviting and helpful. Food is just amazing and very reasonably priced. You must try the Spring Rolls, best in Vietnam. Overall the owner Mr Phan Cu and his staff make this fantastic restaurant what it is. Mr Phan Cu hands out postcards of his Photographic collection to all customers.

Cheap food and drinks with staff that are more interested on chatting with each other than paying attention to their customers. The place is very local eatery that is frequented by backpackers looking for cheap cold beers and local food. If you are not picky and don't expect much then this is a good place to have a meal with... More

Myself and my partner stopped by for a coffee before heading somewhere else for food; we're glad we didn't. The staff were so welcoming and friendly that we decided to order food, and it was delicious. Once we had finished eating, I was looking at the many photos decorating the walls of the café and was approached by Mr. Cu... More
