We decided to try this place because of the reviews. Being a photographer myself I was very interested to see the owners work on the walls and his photo albums. The food was average but a good filling meal all the same. We were given a free postcard each which we could choose from the owners images. And then given... More

We only stayed in Hue for three nights but liked this place so much we went back twice. The food quality is very good and we thought great value for money. Mr Cu (the owner) came and spoke with us on both nights. On the first night he offered us a pick from his selection of postcards that he has... More

I've been here several times actually. The Restaurant is in the centre, walking distance to most of the hotels in town. I've got lovely staffs, great food and friendly owner - Mr Cu who is also a photographer. He takes lots of photographs of Hue and its people, scenery, ... I did have a postcard which is one of his... The food here is good - fresh and inexpensive, but for me the photography was special. The owner, a photographer with a keen and humorous eye for detail, wandered in while we were eating. He is an older man, dressed in a black suit coat, waistcoat and beret, with his camera around his neck. The walls of the cafe are... More

At the Mandarin Cafe you did not only eat but you also looked and possibly bought some of the owner Mr Cu's photos. The house speciality dish was the filled crepe which was delicious. When we finished our meals we had a chat to the Interesting Mr. Cu and bought some of his photos. A great experience.
