As above but to add mr cu seems a genuinely friendly guy ... and very proud of his excellent photos of hue area of vietnam. The food is good and good value for money... but be fair .. do not expect michelin star quality.

Opposite our hotel so we went there for a quick lunch. Fairly average fair, won't go there again. Maybe it's because we have just come from Hoi An, where we had some sensational food.

Just a really nice place to eat - nothing elegant or fancy, but very good food and great value. Great Bun Bo especially and friendly staff and owner.

This was suggested by our tour guide. The food was excellent and the staff was so friendly. The owner shared local photographs with us. It was a short walk to the night market to cap off a perfect evening.

We've been to the Mandarin Café since our hotel was just 5 minutes away. There have been no local people in the restaurant as long as we've been there. This isn't bad, but it's definitely a sign that this is a real tourist place... The food was ok, but it wasn't that great compared to much cheaper places with authentic... More

Besides the amazing cuisine, this restaurant provides very friendly and reknowned service staff and a great view on the streets of Hue from the scenic terrace. The owner, Mr. Cu is very kindly helping to solve every tiny problem. His wonderful photographies in every corner of the restaurant give insight in vietnamese every day life.

We had lunch in this restaurant. We both ordered the local specialty Bun Bo Hue soup, which was delicious. The prices were low for what you get and the staff was very friendly. Before leaving the owner gave is two postcards with pictures he made himself. Adjacent to being the owner of the restaurant he is also a photographer. A... More

Mandarin café offers great meals for a fantastic price. The price related to the value is simply the best during our stay in Vietnam of a month. I strongly reccommend the beef noodle soup

Good food at a very reasonable price. The owner was friendly and chatty and his photos are beautiful and prints are reasonably priced to take home. Staff were very efficient and the menu offered a good range of vegetarian dishes.
