In Saigon a week ago and was looking forward to dining at Temple Club based on a personal recommendation and a good review from Lonely Planet. I was expecting a south Viet Namese feast but was sorely disappointed by average dishes, edible sure, but mediocre. There were many foreigners in the dining room. Maybe the place has been touted to... More

The best food we've had so far in Saigon. We asked the waitor to recommend what we should have, and then decided to have squid too. The squid was pretty awful, but everything the wait or recommended was out of this world incredible. Added to which the location is really special. A really great restaurant to visit.

The restaurant is upstairs in an old French colonial building and is beautifully presented. On reflection the food wasn't as fantastic as food we had in other places - but it was pretty damn good! I kind of wish that I'd thought to dress up a little before I went - because it really is a very special location!

Great food and cocktails (you have to try the Temple cocktail) - definitely worth a visit. The place is fully air conditioned and has free wifi as well

We enjoyed the ambiance and food of this venue so much that our stop-over in Ho Chi Minh resulted in a mad dash from the airport to return to this fine institution

Im currently in Hanoi and still craving the food I had back at Temple Club in Ho Chi Minh. The rolls are the best I have had in my life! Top picks are the mustard leaf rolls and the beef rolled in 'lot leaf'.

Nice old building, tasty food but small portions. Not flexible with food for people with allergies. Drinks 4x price of anywhere else. Service efficient but very curt waiter. Over priced. Wouldn't recommend, no longer a top place.

Recommended as a top choice in Lonely Planet we were a little disappointed. The setting is lovely, low lighting, fine dining feel. The menu offers many tempting dishes, however servings were small and overall our dinner was expensive compared to other restaurants of similar quality.

The setting is superb and the location is convenient, but the food is disappointing, especially for Vietnam. The pumpkin soup was good, but the BBQ eggplant tasted like cigarette smoke. Not a recommendation for me!

I came to Temple Club to celebrate a special birthday, full of expectation due to the praise from reviewers. I was certainly pleased with the atmosphere: nice tableware, attentive yet gentle staff, very lovely decor, and in general a soothing atmosphere given how hectic the city outside can be. I was less impressed, though, by the food -- I found... More
