We ate here tonight. The best part was the starter of vegetarian spring rolls which were lovely. We also ordered chicken in lemongrass and chilli sauce with steamed rice and some steamed vegetables. The chicken and rice was barely warm and the vegetables were over cooked. I don't know whether they were having a bad night but it certainly did... More

They have one in Hanoi and one in Phnom Penh apart from this one. We did not realize it was the same restaurant as the one in Hanoi, the Lonely Planet doesn't event mention it... But it was way better than the one in Hanoi, and the venue in itself is prettier.

QUAN AN NGON is the answer. Great food great price! We had a plate of 2 huge raw oysters (fresh) for 39,000 dong. US$1 = 21,000 dong. 1 huge plate of a pork knuckle deep fried (can feed 3 persons) for 235,000 dong. I have attached a picture of the menu (one of many - they have literally hundreds of... More

Our guide recommended this as a good place to eat and he was right . We were tired and very hungry and this place was just around the corner from the Movenpick. Very accessible menu and mostly locals eating there which is always a good indicator. Very big space with loads of tables in lines and energetic and user friendly... More

Taste good but little overrated, and reasonable price for 3 at 20 USD. The pho is good, 50000 dong with a mountain of vegetables.

Quan Ngon in SGN is the first of the "Quan Ngon" in Vietnam. The idea of bringing together hundreds of the street food sellers into a beautiful renovated French Villa in the middle of the busting city likes Saigon is a bonus for tourists. If you are a first timer visiting Vietnam, I recomme to visit one of the Quan... More

Highly commended to us by a friend at Saveur, and also by the Park Hyatt concierge, our party of four really pigged out. We ordered three or four dishes each, chopsticks flying from one delightful dish to another. Nice bottle of wine and a number of beers. One of our party saw the selections at another table and, believe it... More

The food was delicious, and plentiful. The restaurants seem to be a lot more than in Hanoi, but it is a different experience. We had a great variety of dishes to share, the restaurant is huge and was also very busy. Hold onto your disposable towels, they charge you for them...which we didn't realise until we got the bill.
