We've passed by this place several times, intending to go in for a meal since it always looks so inviting. Finally we did. The location, in Dist 1, is convenient to several hotels and apartments. We found the wait staff friendly and attentive, very good. We tried a promotional wine and found it surprisingly good as well. As for the... More

Great onions, little broth, and little cheese. Fine taste except for the skimpy cheese; I am comparing a recent experience at the L'Eléphant Restaurant, Luang Prabang - Lao P.D.R. That was "great" French onion soup. The roasted breast of chicken was dry and the lamb stew just passable. The sparkling white wine was nice.

We loved this place- traditional French faire with decent and appropriately priced French wine list. Definitely worth a visit. Also a good neighbourhood.

Good food, relaxed atmosphere and a charming waitress all contributed to a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Price wise it's on the high side for Ho Chi Minh but very good value compared with what you would expect to pay for a comparable meal in the UK. We each had a glass of Bordeaux Cabinet Sauvignon - very good it was too.... More

I love this place. I have eaten here 10 times in 2 years. Always festive, always a good time. Some nights really packed. No seats, we just sit at the bar and chow down. I love the mussels, steaks, burgers, snails. Great wine list, not overpriced. Service is good for SGN, staff can speck English and some French too. It's... More

This place is what tourists imagine must be a typical French brasserie with red checkered tablecloths and photos of the 50's with Jean Gabin. The selection of dishes is definitively touristy including dishes as : soupe a l'oignon, choucroute, fois gras and so. However the dishes are cooked well enough. Great fish! At the beginning is offered a glass of... More

Snails are outstanding. Good French wine list. Very good hospitality. The rest of our food was ok without being exceptional.

Fantastic food, but let down by poor service. Complimentary glass of bubbly to start with but no water. Plates not cleared after main course and no desert offered. Table next to us sat with uncleared food for a good half hour.

Located conveniently across from IDECAF, Le Bouchon de Saigon replicates quite well the atmosphere of a French bistro from the look to the menu. We were there for dinner with a party of 5 for a year-end celebration. The glass of Champagne as a welcome drink indeed made us felt welcomed and puts everyone in a festive mood. There was... More
