I've read the dreadful reviews and have to say we found it fine. My French onion soup was good, mains were fine and chips excellent. The staff were all very friendly and attentive; the European manageress and the man, and all the local girls pleasant and chatty. Extensive wine list. The décor is... read more

Was there for diner. Had the choucroute, which was more looking like a soup than a choucroute, the plate was full of water, the meat was hard and chewy. The other person with me had a steak, there are lot a better place for steak than Le Bouchon. As previously described the owner is totally indifferent, not passing from table... More

We went there as a group of 18 pax and all of us were happy with our food, especially the desserts. Their hostess was nice; however, the owners/chef were indifferent and rude, from the time I made the reservations to the dinner and the waitress was clueless.

I discovered this restaurant while locating a different place. I'm glad I had dinner here! I ordered the Boudin Noir with a side of Pommes Frites. The Boudin Noir was soft and seasoned quite well; not overly done and just enough to allow the natural blood flavor to come through. Sometimes the true test of a chef and restaurant is... More

Last time I went to Le Bouchon both food and service was very bad. The waitress had no idea what the specials were and had to go back and forth to the kitchen 3 times to clarify what we could order and what we couldn't. The restaurant was almost completely empty and the owners was sitting at the bar, smoking.... More

Again, I had a wonderful menu on Valentines day. The products were fresh and the presentation of each course was just great. I especially liked the way the Head Chef offered us in addition their famous onion soup and 12 osters ahead of the well created menu, just because they are aware that those two dishes were our favourites....... I do not understand the recent negative comments as they are completely contrary to our recent experience. We were standing on the pavement looking at the menu before the establishment was due to open. We were spotted and invited in for a complimentary drink before the kitchen was open. The welcome was warm and sincere. If you are among the... More

Davide and Nathallie welcomed us with a sparkling wine and a amuse bouch. The food was excellent and Davide even gave us his recommendation. The duck was delicious, served with salad and potatoes AND they even had a very good cheese board. I had the trio of desserts with coffee, fabulous. We went back for another meal when we returned... I live in Saigon and up until a year ago used to eat here 2 or 3 times a week. This was a gem, but they changed managers several times with declining results each time. A year gaving padded, last nite I decided to go back and give it another try -- even though prior experiences had been poor. I... More

We were quite excited to check out some french food while in Saigon and read about Bouchon in another traveler's blog. We were terribly unimpressed with almost all of the food and are pretty sure we can trace my husband's food poisoning back to this meal. He ordered the beef tenderloin medium rare and it came out completely rare. We... More
