okay food

we came here to have some really good pizza and relied on the reviews here. we were quite disappointed as the pizza was only okay - lacking salt and it was too dry and hard. okay for an Italian restaurant outside of Italy but not what we expected.

Ciao Bella has been one of my favorite Italian restaurants in town. Unfortunately this last visit, the Chicken pizza came out flat. The chicken was dry, the pie was not properly sauced, and the crust hard. The pasta dish is way below expectation, too. Truly disappointed.

I come here regularly. Food is very good, I like the burrata here. Everything else is always delicious as well! A little bit pricey. However, location is great, very close to Hai Ba Trung and Dong Khoi. As well the inside is quite nice. Both on ground and on first floor with nice decoration.

I don't know how can be so over rated on trip advisor, Vietnamese friend invited me for lunch there, (usually i don't eat italian outside of italy, but i was invited) so and they recommended to try the carbonara "poche" one. It was awful with garlic sweet pancetta no pepper and reach if cream. One if the worse i never... More

Ciao Bella is an excellent restaurant with good food and fairly good service. My only downside is it is a little pricey for Vietnam but still a good bargain compared to Aussie or US prices. They start you off with a glass of champagne and end the evening with a flower bracelet for your lady and a shot of lemon... More

Wonderfully peaceful, i had a sense that did not reflect the bustle of the streets outside the window. I still recall looking at a wonderful portrait of Sophia Loren and listening to Sinatra. Classic Italian, the food was served at the right times, always with the freshed of condiments to offer. Grated Parmesan or crushed black peppers? The drinks were... More

It was New Year when we were in Ho Chi Minh and were having difficulty getting through the crowds, let alone finding a restaurant serving local food. In desperation we opted to visit Ciao Bella. What an excellent choice! They were full but the owner said we could go next door for a drink and he would come for us... More

From the street this restaurant looks quite small, with a frontage of maybe only 5 metres. However once inside it is deceptively large - and there are another 2 floors above! The atmosphere was great, with romantic candle-lit tables. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and the food was very good. My wife had the biggest sea bass ever,... More

We had a great time, the managers and staff are nice, the food is one of the best italian we had in Asia, prices are high but worth it.

Cozy little restaurant, candle light, Italian wine and dishes... The service there is great, nothing disappointing and it's really not expensive.
