A worthy cause and excellent food

This restaurant located in a shopping mall is absolutely delightful, fresh, airy and the staff can't do enough to help you. The food is excellent, the wine and drinks list very good and very reasonably priced. Talking to the Waitress she is 1 year in to a 2 year course and loves her job. A worthy... read more

We were brought here by our group leader to support the people who were training in the hospitality sector (and trying to get out of poverty). That kind of gave a cause in dinning there. Located on the roof top of a tall building in the centre of HCMC, had obviously a view of other tall buildings and traffic. Good... More

It is hard to believe that this is a training restaurant for disadvantaged youth as it acts the part of a high-class restaurant in a chic setting with comfortable tables and really good food and service. It would be great if many of the restaurants in Vietnam could emulate their standards. While the Vietnamese dishes were not spectacular they were... More

We had been told about KOTO by our sister-in-law and had experienced a similar operation in Hanoi and Hoi An on a previous trip. The service was very attentive and no hiccups to speak of so the training seems to be going fine. The Banh Mi "slider" was tasty although the duck was a touch dry/chewy. The spring rolls were... We had a good meal here with excellent food. The cocktails were pretty good as well. The staff are in training and do a great job. They are friendly and try hard. The food is on the more expensive side for Vietnam but the quality of food matches the price.

The food here is very nice. We got a selection of many of the dishes served on the menu. The drinks are very good, perfectly made. Highly recommended.

KOTO stands for "Know One, Teach One," and it is a restaurant that functions as a training ground for disadvantaged you to learn the hospitality trade. I had the satay, which was good. And the fruit and coconut ice cream served in a coconut shell, which was pretty terrific. My server was sweet and friendly, and spoke excellent English. The... More

Nice outside terrace but we did not book so had to eat inside. It was cool at least. Food was fine, nothing special, but this is socially minded restaurant for disadvantaged students so all in a good cause.

Being on the rooftop, it offers a scenic night view of District 1 in HCMC. The prices of the food are quite steep but it is delicious. The trainees are trained in English so you won't have a problem communicating with them.
