Great Vietnamese food and ambience

This is one of my favourite restaurants in HCMC. It has great Vietnamese food and ambience. The restaurant is set in a colonial styled building with open courtyards, flowers and fairy lights. You can choose from the extensive menu, or go around the many cooking stations lining both sides of the... read more

Caught up with a friend I had not seen in long time. Apparently this place serves food varieties from all over Vietnam - north, south etc. so you get to try different styles. We had the Beef Lime salad - amazing and must try. Also mixed beef and fish hotpot - excellent. Beautiful to sit on terrace and excellent service.... More

Had great expectations for this place as had lots of recommendations. Busy popular restaurant that looks Inviting but service was poor. When I requested a napkin I was told to use my wet wipe! The soup we had ordered didn't arrive and food was edible but bland and tasteless. Reasonable cost but when bill arrived extra 10% charge for Tet... More

We were meeting friends of friends and this was our rendezvous point. How exciting to connect with people who used to live in our neighbourhood back in Toronto. The restaurant was very busy and noisy in the reception area so we chose a table away from the street, hoping to find some quiet. However, that was not to be. There... More

Lunched as a part of a city tour. Excellent location, outstanding service and food. I'm not an expert on local foods but everything we had (some of which I could not identify) was excellent. Would highly recommend.

eating at this place was a lot of work! i only went to their highest floor - vietnamese food. self order, self serve type of place. pre load a restaurant card, and order whatever, and have to time your own food.. it was inconvenient to say the least. and also - for a vietnamese restaurant in vietnam, food was not... the fact that you can have any type of vietnamese cuisine all in one menu is amazing. it is like the cheesecake factory of vietnamese food. it is a bit more expensive, but it isn't if you're from seattle like myself where everything is expensive. it is fun to go with a group and order a bunch of stuff. I... More

We just came from the Cathedral, when we were impressed by this beautiful restaurant. The ambiance is so overwhelming, you have the risk there is no space left for you. Ngon is situated in and around an marvellous monumental building and especially the terraces in the garden are stunning, with tiny lights hanging from old trees. The kitchens are open,... More

Our friends recommended this place to us for its great ambiance and for the delicious menu. They were right! We enjoyed everything in Nha Hang Ngon. We ordered Ban Hue (“Beef” noodle soup in Hue style) and Rau Xao Chay (Assorted stir-fry vegetables). Both were delicious. Prices are on expensive side but this is OK - for the quality of... More
