We had dinner at this restaurant whilst touring Saigon and unfortunately we had to have a "set menu" as part of the tour price. I don't know how much was allocated for each meal, but in this case apparently, not much. The servicxe was terrible, the food awful. Our guide told us that they had had... read more

If you want your food shaped like a duck, eat here. If you want good and fresh Vietnamese food, go somewhere else. But most importantly, if you're on a tour, find out the restaurants where you'll be eating. If this one's on the list, ask for an alternative. The service was OK but the food was bad. The worst meal... More

Give this a miss! And don't let Indochina Odyssey Tours include it in your plans. Food is horrible. Made with no care. Fried spring rolls greasy. No dipping sauce was given. They rushed us through 5 courses in 30 minutes. We left much of the food and we are normally not fussy. I have a fish allergy so they replaced... More

We were brought here by our guide from Indochina Odyssée Tours. This restaurant is in a 2-3 story bungalow in the middle of a small park. We were early : 11:45 and got a nice table . We ordered their 333 Saigon-beer which un-fortunately was lukewarm, The waitress wanted to put ice-cubes in our glasses but we refused not beiing... More

Unless you like bland food in a tourist trap setting, I suggest you stay far, far away from this restaurant. I was extremely disappointed our guide brought us here. It's simply awful: from the bland food to the German tourists belting out indecipherable songs to the cutesy unamusing food "art", this place simply sucks and has no redeeming qualities that... Our lunch there was the worst food we had in all of Vietnam. While the food really looks nice and they put effort in decorating the food, when you taste it it turns out to be totally bland and everything that was deep-fried was very greasy. Maybe the management thinks this is the "Vietnamese" food tourists like, but it didn't... More

Restaurante Chateau caters to tour groups, functions and other large groups. Groups are seated and served upstairs, but the ambiance is found on the busy main floor having eight tables. Our lunch was creative and presented with equal care as found in CORA's, Canada. Do not anticipate privacy as most of the patrons are habitual customers.

We were the only patrons you this very basic restaurant. It was expensive for drinks with no style at all. The only light relief was a old man who played a fewvtunes for us. The rest was very ordinary.

Our tour group went here for lunch upon arrival to the city. Wonderful food art with each course - the food wasn't as exciting. Older gentleman was on the piano and serenaded the cramped group in the upstairs area with American Christmas carols (in June) and patriotic classics. Everyone sang along because of the absurdity of the situation. Standard set... More
