The food, décor and service at Cục Gạch ('the brick') share these common characteristics: simple but beautiful and with understated class. The cuisine is neither imperial court nor street food, but dishes that one would have in an upper-middle class South Vietnamese family for dinner in the 50's/60's, perfectly executed. If you're overwhelmed by the extensive menu, ask the knowledgeable... More

This place is off the tourist beaten track. Well worth the effort to find. The stylish wooden interior with rooms set on different levels each have their own quirky features which make for the cosy atmosphere. Knowledgeable waiter helps with menu choices, all of which were of excellent quality and service. Would highly recommend this place.

Really great food in a very pleasant atmosphere. One of the best Vietnamese restaurant we visited during our holiday. Located in charming villa with a lot of dinning rooms on a different floors . Prices are really reasonable .

We chose this restaurant from a travel guide. We arrived without a reservation on a Tuesday night. The concierge was very helpful and found us a table for 2 on the top level. It would seem that reservations are necessary and we were very lucky to get a table. A very funky piece of contemporary Vietnamese architecture and equally funky... More

I was lucky enough to find out about this place from a recommendation by a food tour company in Hoi An, who said we had to go here while in HCM city. We were told to book ahead because it can be very busy, but again we got super lucky and were able to book a table only a few... More

The place is so good i recommend it to everyone who visits HCMC. Food was a little pricey as compared to other places in HCMC but it is all worth it. Service staff was well trained and the menu is just extensive. We ordered so much and wish we could finish everything cause it was so good. It wasn't too... More

Been around the city quite frankly... but this restaurant has a lot to offer. The staff was highly trained, price is great, the food was tasty and well balanced and the environment in which you eat (with all the traditional art exposition) is very different. I suggest that you book your table before going, and printing the address might be... More

The interior of the restaurant is very nicely done. The food was delicious and, for HCM standards, not too expensive. We would recommend this retaurant for a nice evening. Make sure to have an active attitude towards the staff.

Recommended by our tour guide but definitely Don't go. Yes cheap but if you want good food for the same price go to Hoa Tuc. Tonight, Cuc Gach Quan was a real disappointment. Menu extensive so we asked for assistance (like yest) but this time Green mango fruit juice for the boys drinks and the crab meat for our main... More
