Fantastic Concept

This is well worth booking for (it gets very busy) - not only for the food and service - both of which are fantastic, but for the concept of training disadvantaged young people. They train up to 30 trainees every 6 months in life skills, English and Front of House/Kitchen skills. A wonderful idea... read more

Arrived at Koto mid afternoon. Order of Banana Flower Salad and 5 Spice duck dish arrived reasonably promptly. The salad was fresh and the duck got a big tick from my husband. Staff were then busy setting tables for evening service so very little interaction and took a while to get attention to order further drink, mango lassie, which was... More

A nice little spot. Very friendly, helpful staff. A small place with cosy nice atmosphere. Old local food. It is what it is, down to earth local food.

KOTO restaurant is terrific. It's a non-profit restaurant that trains disadvantaged youth in the restaurant world. Located near the Temple of Literature. Lots of great choices to choose from and wonderful juices. Food was terrific. The staff are friendly and service good. It gets very busy so booking is a must.

I can't recommend this restaurant enough. Not only was the food delicious, the staff extremely professional but it's also a fantastic cause. I wish there were more places like KOTO around the world. Excellent restaurant, a must if you are in Hanoi.

Koto takes street kids and young people at risk and houses, feeds and trains them for 2 years. They emerge as food and hospitality industry wonder kids. The food is sensational and the service warms your heart. How can you lose?

KOTO Restaurant, Hanoi Vietnams is a stunning four-storey modernist cafe-bar-restaurant overlooking the Temple of Literature, where the interior design has been taken very seriously, from the stylish seating to the fresh flowers by the till. Daily specials are chalked up on a blackboard and the short menu has everything from excellent Vietnamese food to yummy pita wraps and beer-battered fish... More

After a hot morning at the fine art museum and the temple of literature we were in need of some good food and drinks. Lovely fresh banana blossom salad with juicy chicken. Clean, cool and comfortable with very friendly staff supporting a good cause, we shall certainly go to its sister branch in HCM

We had a set meno which was very tasty and the service was excellent, very friendly. Koto offers children from the streets an opportunity in finding a career and a new pathway which we fully support. Keep up the good work. Have an early lunch or dinner it could get very busy and noisy, but hey that's Vietnam.
