We have dined at KOTO each time in HaNoi and in SaiGon. We have had lunches and Dinners at both restaurants. We have never been disappointed. When you consider that KOTO is operating to train disadvantaged youth in the hospitality business, it is an especially great business. The menu has Vietnamese and Western dishes of a very high standard

Great atmosphere. Food presentation great, but, slightly bland taste comparing it to other places in Vietnam fantastic concept of helping young kids learn a trade. Didn't like the spiral stair case to the upper floor restaurant levels, found it too unsafe and anyone could easily loose their step and fall. Would definetely visit the restaurant again as long as on... More

I so wanted to like this restaurant. I love the concept of giving young people the chance to learn the restaurant trade with the massive benefit of turning around their lives. However the food was poor. For example the chicken satay was completely bland, although it was tender. Stuffed squid was also lacking flavour. So disappointing. The service was friendly... More

This restaurant is well worth going to, owned by an Australian working with disadvantaged kids. The service was excellent, food excellent and it was clean and had a really good vibe. It was packed when I arrived so was shown to restaurant upstairs, there was a constant flow of people. The waiters and waitresses were attentive and efficient and the... More

KOTO is a training centre cafe for disadvantaged youth just across the road from the Temple of Literature. It's a worthy cause and the food is a lot more expensive than other cafés or hole in the wall shops (obviously) but because of the idea of it we thought 100,000 plus for a main was ok to pay. The staff... More

Really enjoyed our visit to Koto. The food was fantastic even though it's a bit on the expensive side compared to other restaurants. The important thing is that it's all going to a great cause and once you've been there and had a chat to the staff you'll realise it's worth spending every cent. We went there as a family... More

the food at KOTO is quite good, and I would recomment it especially if you want a bit of a break from eating on the roads. I had fried rice and nem, and they were both pretty good. the price is fair.

We were taken to this restaurant on a recent trip to Hanoi. The staff were all trainees and very enthusiastic. We had a set menu which was excellent. It is a great idea, taking kids off the streets and training them, brainchild of an Australian living in Melbourne. I would advise getting there around midday as it was very busy.Only downside would... One of the better restaurants in our trip. Food and drinks were excellent, service was attentive and lots of options to choose from of the local food. Also this restaurant gives back to the community.

We had dinner there for the first time of recommendation from our friend. That's the most famous restaurant nearby Temple of Literature. We like " bun cha" with Vienamese mint pork., but we could recommend that the chef cook should improve the tiramisu recipe before bringing to the customer. Anyway, we are not easygoing customer, we had many experiences in... More
