A good meal

This restaurant is in a central location in the old town. The food is good - we chose chicken with cashew nuts and steamed rice, served with plenty of vegetables - and there is a wide choice of authentic dishes on the menu. We weren't disappointed. We have moved to Hanoi only recently and have already dined twice at this restaurant. The place is hidden in one of the buzy market streets in the Old Quarter. For some reason it has a distinctively 1940s colonial feeling about it. The food and the service were very good. Excellent examples of traditional cousine and great presentation - I... More

· good food · reasonable price · nice ambiance · clean · friendly and accommodating staff A great place to dine if you want to enjoy authentic Vietnamese cuisine without the hustle and noise of local streetfood dining!

We sat outside on the balcony upstairs and had a bird's eye view of all goings on down below. The food was good - they went specially to locate a bottle of Dalat (the local Vietnamese) wine, which pleased us. Good selection of local dishes.

My boyfriend and I went for dinner here a couple of nights ago after passing it the previous night and thinking it looked good; we weren't disappointed. The food was really tasty and the restaurant seemed very well run. It's a beautiful setting with fairy lights and it was great to sit by the window and watch all the passers... More

Good Vietnamese food - a very helpful waiter helped us select dishes and made sure we knew how to eat Bun Cha the right way. All the food was good - we went back here a second time.

For those of you who have the sense of humor of a 12 year old boy, the name of this restaurant will make you chuckle, but don't let that put you off from stopping in to eat here. The food is really tasty (a bit pricier but par for the course for the area it's in) and the service was... More

Visited this restaurant on our first night in Vietnam. Service was excellent, staff very friendly and polite and food was relatively quick. We ordered the chicken curry and the beef curry, both were delicious and of a reasonable price. Will definitely dine here again in the future.

We went to this place 2 years ago when in Hanoi and the food was great so when back in the city and celebrating a birthday it was the obvious choice for us. There was nobody in there at 8pm in the evening which was a bit worrying but we thought it doesn't matter because the meal will be good.... More
