The food was beautiful and we did a cooking class the following day which was a highlight of our trip. The best spring rolls I had in Vietnam I made myself. This restaurant is in a restored house and worth seeing in itself.

Opposite the new day restuarant this place kept its doors open to us after arriving late for our evening meal , in fact the kitchen had closed but seeing our problem they reopned just for us. We had Bun cha Hanoi Clamari Tempura Deep fried Spring Rolls And Clay pot Tofu vegeterian for my wife. Together with beers and cocktails... More

This restaurant has a great ambience. We received a warm welcome as soon as we arrived from the young and enthusiastic staff. They helped us choose from the menu and we were very pleased with our dishes. I had a pork dish cooked in a clay pot which stayed piping hot throughout the meal. My husband had a traditional grilled... More

After a few drinks we chose this restaurant after a friend recommended it. What a dissapointment! The dishes were relativley expensive for Hanoi, the size of the dishes was very small but most importantly, the meals were bland. We expected much better flavours in a highly recommended Vietnamese restaurant. Won't be going back.

We tried to get into another restaurant but full. We given this place as an alternative. What a nice surprise! The place was already packed so we waited about 15 minutes and we had a nice comfy spot upstairs. The wait staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating to us. The food was quickly served and delicious.

We ate here twice on our trip to Hanoi, bit surprised at the recent negative reviews as we had really good evening meals here. The restaurant is on Ma May street, one of the busiest in the old quarter and we opted for a window able both times - great for watching the world go by. The food we had... More

The staff are pleasant enough and the decor is attractive, but the food was less than mediocre. We had impossibly greasy fried wontons, a decent chicken salad, horrible luke warm fried rice, disgusting soup with so much corn starch that it was gelatinous and so-so spring rolls. A real disappoiintment

The restaurant is nice and the staff very kind, they served us the dinner out of the normal opening time. The choice of dishes is quite wide. The vegetable soup was not that good, salty and not tasty. Duck with rice was good, as well as mushroom and eggplant sauted.

My husband & I dined here on several occasions in 2008 and was our favourite restaurant in that trip. Fast foward 6 years, we are back in Hanoi & eager to come here again. We were not dissapointed. Food tasted just as good as we remembered it. My favourite was the bun cha (thought to be a hanoi specialty) -... More
