Escape to a beautiful courtyard for a tired traveller...Foods very good as well.

Last day in Vietnam and decided to stray to a French restaurant and so glad we did. The French Colonial building and courtyard is a beautiful setting in "old Hanoi". We lashed out with an entrée and mains and the food and presentation was gorgeous.Just check out the pictures. The restaurant is... read more

My wife and I have been traveling worldwide >35 years and this restaurant is reason to return to Vietnam all by itself. Highly recommended by the local hotels, it turned out to be absolutely spectacular. I had the best appetizer ever.....it sounds a bit dodgy, but my word, the flavors and textures and presentation were heavenly....it was a thick eggplant... More

Excellent food. Not necessary Vietnamese, but rather fusion of French cuisine with a Vietnamese touch. Pleasant dinning when smokers are not there. Smokers always have the best seating in most restaurants in Vietnam, which is not fair. Lunch is the best value if you want to experience this place.

Good food in a lovely setting. You can get cheaper, but for the overall package it's reasonably priced

Its obvious why this is No. 1 restaurant in Hanoi. Decor cross old French with Vietnamese infusion. Prices whilst Vietnamese standsrf is high for a drink and 3 coures at a 5 star restaurant $50 is cheap. Equivalent in Australia would set you back $100 plus.

We eat dinner in the courtyard. Unfortunately the restaurant were having electrical problems. Two outside lights exploded with guests being asked to move to different tables as a result. The food was okay. Well presented and tasty. For the price the premium was on the building and, apart from the errant electrics, the atmosphere.

This was a little more expensive than other restaurants I. The area, but the setting and food was excellent. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. We had a wonderful evening here.

11 of us turned up without booking and were accommodated at different tables. Food - very 'French' and superb. Waiters attentive and knowledgable. Loved the desserts! Have been there before and the quality has been consistent over 10 years. Not the cheapest, but maybe the best!

We went here because it’s in all the guide books as a ‘must do’ but I wouldn’t recommend it because there’s better/cheaper elsewhere. The setting/décor is French/Vietnamese with a nice courtyard and the menu looks good but pricey. We ran out of time so just nipped in for a G&T & what a disappointment! Cost a fortune (compared to other... More

After three and a half weeks in S E Asia we were craving something a little different, as well as the taste of a really good French red wine. This beautiful restaurant was recommended by fellow hotel guests and although we did not book we were accommodated by very professional and friendly staff. We loved the creativity of the menu...
