Green Tangerine was a pleasant discovery amidst the bustle of the Old Quarter. It shared much more in common with more upscale restaurants to the south of Hoan Kiem Lake, so if you're backpacking through on a budget, steer clear. However, if you're looking for a nicer meal, Green Tangerine will deliver. The ambiance is wonderful from the moment you... More

The green tangerine has a menu that is for everyone . My chicken and mango was tender , not too sweet and totally delicious . The portions are not huge , hence making room for dessert . The wine choices are varied as is the whole menu . A restaurant that is conducive to friend catch ups and respite from... More

This restaurant is located in a very nice building that seems the perfect place for a romantic dinner, however the menu is not inspiring and the prices are extremely expensive for Hanoi. I only ordered a dessert (that was good) but it was too small as well.

We visited tonight and saw a restaurant with unusually good ambiance for the area. However inspection of the menu left us gasping at the prices. Double what we have paid for extraordinary rooftop dining in the city. We left after purchasing a starting water for more money than most restaurants will charge for a main. Can't say if the food... If You are looking for exquisite, delicious and inventive food, this is your place. I ate really good, three-course meal there - twice! Strong recommendations! Lunch deals are also very reasonable priced.

We went here on our last night in Hanoi on a trip in July 2014. We had previously visited the restaurant in 2007 and had enjoyed it then too. The food was really lovely - great care taken with preparation and presentation. We both enjoyed everything we ordered. Yes, it is more expensive than many restaurants in Hanoi, but we... More

Very expensive by Vietnamese standards (US$ 130 for the two of us just drinking house wine and only having entrees and main). It is a nice building and surrounding but it smells damp and not fresh and has a tired feel about it. The service was disorganised and poor by Vietnamese standards. The pate and the Duck breast had a... More

It is French with a Vietnamese touch.. The service is excellent, the food is very good, the ambiance is good. We went there twice with friends for dinner and we were satisfied on both occasions.

We have had a number of friends give this place a great wrap, but we were quite disappointed. We were told there were 2 menus, French and Vietnamese, but the only local stuff was a limited set menu. Most of us ordered this and it was OK but certainly nothing special.. The French inspired food looked quite weird - steak... More

I went there a year ago by a recommendation of our friends and it was one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had in Vietnam. Definitely a must go.
