Can't see what the Hype is about

If you want a place with a good ambience and service then yes Green Tangerine will definitely meet the criteria. However, the food was not as great as everyone had made it out to be. The dishes are certainly unique but in terms of taste it's nothing worth talking about. if you are in Hanoi and are... read more

We went to Green Tangerine for lunch while walking around the city. The place is charming but we felt a bit weird entering with trainers and sweaters... The food is good but portions are a bit small when you are starving from your tour! Also we were with our 2.5 yo, not ideal in that kind of place. They do... More

Had looked forward to dining at Green Tangerine after reading high ratings given in travel books and brochures but we were totally underwhelmed. Found the food ordinary, the service quite sub standard and therefore very much overpriced.

My credit card was skimmed at this restaurant and the details stolen, and used elsewhere. Buyer beware. Do not let them take your credit card away.

Lunch set is reasonable, you can try 2-dish set or 3-dish set, main course with one appetiser and one dessert! It's now in my famous French cuisine restaurants list! You can make a reservation before you go there, and bear in mind you may need to spend more than two to three hours for dining

Apparently green fruit is big in Vietnam! We ate dinner one evening at this restaurant and while it was acceptable, it wasn't really great. The bartender was not able to make a very good mojito, which is somewhat unheard of in this country and a request for a vodka martini produced a concoction with way too much vermouth for my... More

we went to this resturant on our first night in Hanoi. It was a good choice. We would recommend it to all visitors. It is central. And good value. And delicious food. Kay

A really wonderful restaurant, one of my favorite restaurants in the world. Not for the "pho and beer" crowd, but if one wants a great eating experience with lots of unique dishes and great flavors, this is the place. Good wine list that goes well with the food, and the lunch menu is especially interesting and reasonable. Not inexpensive, but... More

Came here upon recommendation, have never been so disappointed. Considered rating it a 2.5 until we received the dessert and then the bill. The mint garnish was the only thing to save my taste buds. Subpar food and the dessert made me want to die. Skip this place and go get some phó and a beer. Unless you're over the... More

So after a few days in Hanoi we needed a break from the bike horns and other assaults on our senses so we ducked into the Green Tangerine for a nice quiet dinner. Ambiance is very nice, nestled in an old villa (circa 1928) this restaurant does offer the much needed break we were looking for. Tables are few but... More
