It's a must try! You have a huge choice of meal: pho, sandwich, bun cha, hot pots, fried stuff.... and everything is delicious. And it's perfect for low budget travellers!

Not for the faint hearted we did this tour on first arriving in Hanoi. There is no way that without a guide we would have found or done any of it in all honesty. The quality of the food though was excellent even though some of the surroundings and cleanliness was challenging by western standards. No repercussions though. It certainly... More

This tour was a great insight into the food that you might be reluctant to eat, all very good and tasty. Our guide was excellent and spoke really good English. The egg coffee at the end was a real highlight, highly recommend it.

Wow what an experience! This is the best way to sample authentic Hanoi street food and to gain a real insight into Vietnamese culture! Our excellent guide Lan Anh (Kiwi) lead us down tiny side streets to reveal hidden culinary treats which we never would have found ourselves! Each food stop was full of locals and not at all touristy.... More

Sadly the old quarter, where most tourist go around, is actually one of the worst areas for street food in Hanoi. Mix of cheaply cooked low level product, and prices that vary on how new in Hanoi you look. Have street food, and go to street kitchen, just not here. Step outside the hang bac/ma may/hang buom/ta hien vortex of... More

As a tourist you might initially not brave enough to eat from the omnipresent street food kitchens in Hanoi. And if you go to restaurants, you will miss the real good Hanoi food and spend factors more for average quality. Taking a street food tour at the very first day helps you enjoying to sit down somewhere on the small... More

I am a fussy, opinionated eater, not at all swayed by reputation. I found the Hanoi Street Food tour nothing short of sensational. We had six mains and i loved all bar one: Banh cuon thit as i found the rice paper a bit glutinous. All the rest were amazing: Bun cha (wow !), Bo Bia snack, Spring rolls (as... More

We did a Street Food Tour through our hotel in the old quarter, La Siesta. Our guide was terrific, explained the preparation and cooking of all the meals as we visited many restaurants and cafes. We were tried many dishes and the food is fresh and delicious. For US$10 per person we really got value for money and well worth... More

This is a bit tricky to review. Street food is more typical or traditional for them but unfortunately one has to contend with possible issues of sanitation and being ripped off by the young girls trying to make a fast buck with tourist. They will try to charge you VND150,000 for VND15,000 as you initially get confused with all the... More
