This is truly a family operated business. Upon arriving in the area we thought maybe we were at the wrong location but our doubts were soon put at ease. We were greeted at the door by two of the daughters who seated and served us throughout the night. Food was all excellent and as we were leaving mum (the chef)... More

I was loking for another restaurant & fed up, so I was end up here for a dinner. Luckily, their food sooo amazing enough to make me forget all the trouble I'd been through out the day before! Do spent at least once (or more) in this restaurant!

This is very nice local and family owned restaurant near Hanoi InterContinental Westlake and Sheraton hotels. Restaurant is across the main street in the area where you would not expect to find very reasonable place to eat. Try their "rolls", those are fresh and delicious.

We had travelled from HCM, Hoi An, Hue and the Hanoi. We had been disappointed by some of the restaurants which lacked flavour and authenticity. Recommended by our tour guide and simply a great experience. Fantastic service as greeted form taxi and straight to our table. 6 course banquet. All local food with high quality ingredients, cooked with care and... More

We went for an early dinner to this authentic Vietnamese restaurant in Hanoi. First we received a warm welcome by the young and friendly staff. Then they kindly helped us with selecting our meal. We started with potato fries with garlic as an appertizer, followed by a selection of really amazing spring rolls. The best we have had during our... More

We visited this place on the rave reviews (trip advisor). Very disappointed. The staff were great but the food was very, very bland and quite expensive for what we had in comparison to other establishments. We had to sit and eat with our coats on so this spoilt any atmosphere. There are better places to eat which offer far better... More

Try this place, it may not seem much with it`s placing and humble looks ,but prepare your self to a surprise . You will taste Vietnamese food when it is best . Tasty and and well presented dishes served by friendly and charming young people are simply delicious. The small dishes comes and goes and you never loose your appetite... More

After flying into Hanoi, and feeling hungry and tired we went to True Viet at our guide's recommendation; we were not disappointed. The best shrimp spring rolls ever ! Good service from one of the students working there and keen to improve her English. The owner is wonderfully enthusiastic and really wants you to enjoy the experience of dining in... More

Three women from Canada enjoyed mango smoothies followed by green papaya salad, vegetarian spring rolls, catfish and shrimp spring rolls with sautéed vegetables and steamed rice at True Viet for lunch today. All were delicious with excellent service. Not to be missed.
