We really loved this restaurant, only wish the second night we had made a reservation becuase they were fully booked by the time we got back from all day Halong Bay Tour and is was a Monday night. Well worth the trip to this restaurant, for us it was next door to our hotel.

My family and I visited Hanoi and had a cooking class at Chef Tien's place at Orchid Cooking Class. It was absolutely fantastic! We loved the beef pho, pork balls with caramel sauce and the deep fried spring rolls. First, Chef Tien picked us up from our hotel by cab and we went to the Orchid Cooking Class. Chef Tien... More

Pho was tasty, spring rolls average but a cockroach run over our table which spoiled the meal somewhat..

Visited this restaurant during lunch and had to be turned away as it was full. Finally, had a chance to revisit during dinner one night. We ordered pho bo, fried squid with lemongrass & chilli, hue spring roll and fried beef. We realised that the interpretation or style of cooking is different from another restaurant we tried, even though the... More

Had a great time with Chef Tien and his assistant with a visit to market ,and cooking class. For the price, we were picked up at our hotel and got cyclo and tuktuk ride to and from the market. There was some hands on but appreciated seeing chef demonstrate his skills including beautiful vegetable carving. The best part was sharing of... More

I wasn't able to take a cooking class at this restaurant, however, I did enjoy a nice lunch of spring rolls, pho, and beer. The food was wonderful, however, the service was lacking. Only me and another table of two....took 20 minutes to get bill.

The upstairs room is lovely but the meal that we had of spring rolls and duck was not memorable. The picture of the duck on the menu looked roasted but the meal when it came was just a routine stir fry - but this may have been our mistake.

Beautiful interior, reminiscent of a bygone era. Lovely food. On one occasion, I ordered a fish dish which came with rice paper wrappers, vermicelli noodles and all the herbs needed to create your own Vietnamese-style spring rolls - gorgeous! Lovely ginger tea with honey to round off an excellent meal.

Interesting market tour...cooked several yummy Vietnamese dishes and had a thoroughly enjoyable time with Chef Tien. Would recommend for anyone who wants to learn how to cook classic Vietnamese dishes!
