Pricey by Vietnamese standards but you are never going to get similar standard French cuisine at these low prices anywhere else in the world. Food was not great but it was above average though. Go there for the dining ambience.

If only every French Bistro were as delightful as DC Bistro Boutique. As soon as I walked in to the small downstairs room, cluttered with nicely displayed bottles of wine and was greeted with a friendly "Bonjour," I knew I had come to the right place. There are a few dining areas-- I really like the dining room on the...

Just finished my dinner and overall I was very satisfied.
The food was delicious and there was a very wide (maybe even a bit too wide) selection of food.
What I really appreciated are the amount of wine by glass and also small quantity so you are able to taste different wines with different dishes.
The only downside was the...

What surprise me is the amount of Japanese customers in this typical Bistro restaurant. Often Japanese customers are a guarantee of good atmosphere, good food and good wines.
I was completely convinced when I got in the restaurant. I ordered cold cuts and a blanquette which fit perfectly my taste. The service was really friendly and the last good surprise...

Went there for lunch several times, really worth it especially in the week. The owner is the famous french chef from France Didier Corlou. French food that is excellent. Excellent value for money. Grest place if you are looking for good french food. I recommend, blanket de veau, steak tartare and their patais as well.
My French friends told me that the ex chef of Metropole Hanoi has opened this restaurant and I went to try, and it is overall, very satisfying, all dishes are mouth watering, however a little rich, i guess that is French cuisine though, warning: do NOT order the King Size steak unless you have at least 2 people sharing it,...

Oddly I read reviews for a lot of restaurants before selecting the DC Bistro Boutique. Though nothing was terribly wrong with the place, nothing was all that special either.
The downstairs wine area and bar seemed to have a lot of character... however the upstairs room where I ate had little to none. The hollow room and uninspired white walls...

I went on a business lunch and was impressed. Nice casual atmosphere, owner greets you as you enter, good wine selection (though I did not have wine), and overall a nice discovery in Hanoi.
Had the set lunch consisting of a tomato salad, pepper steak, followed by a caramel dessert and coffee. I enjoyed the overall experience and would rate...

I had lunch there this afternoon: since this place is ranked #9 of all Hanoi restaurants, with some expectations. With regards to the food, they were not met at all. It wasn't bad, but it felt like a rip-off when you order the charcuterie as a starter and get 4 slices of meat (forget the photo with the exessively filled...

Dear Diedje_S,
Thank you very much for your review. Regarding to your comment, i have some comment about.
Firstly, for the charcutie tray. The display photo you have seen cost VND143 000+/ a la carte portion. it cost more expensive than your whole lunch (VND138 000+/set 3 courses). So it is really easy to understand that the portion you had...

Good points first:
A rare place in Hanoi where you can find original French food. So if you are tired of spicy asian cousin, this place will definitely help you.
Staff is great! Everyone speaks English, very polite, can explain any menu item.
I had a pâté cake for the starter - and it was awesome, absolutely awesome!! I recommend...
