Value for money - real bistro

We had a fantastic dining experience. The bottom floor looks like a wine shop so first we passed by not understanding it was the restaurant we were looking for. Went there with a friend last week and again this week. Last week I was sitting downstairs, having the traditional 3 course menu, starting with rillette and pate, steak tartare for main and some apple crumble with ice creme as dessert. Delicious!! This week we went upstairs, smoking room, and had the charcuterie and fromagerie. Equally delicious, especially the home-made... More

Went to DC Bistro Boutique with my wife for dinner in early April. We were greater by Claude, authentic Frenchman with roots from Britany who invited us to take a sit and enjoy some of their extensive wine collection. After "appetizers" we went to the first floor and got a delicious dinner, Lorient style fish soup and seabass for myself... More

I’m giving it four stars because I would like to encourage more, small business owner establishments like this. They had the most interesting wine list I’ve seen in Hanoi. Ordered a bottle of red Loire for approx US$40 that was quite nice. The cheese was pretty good. That said...the charcuterie seemed a bit on the old and stale side. We... More

We stopped in one afternoon right around 6pm, thinking there was a happy hour as was mentioned on their website. But, there was not. Nonetheless, we ordered a tapas plate, which consisted of several types of cured hams, salamis, pate, two types of cheese, and pickles. Baguette and butter was also provided. The plate was huge and everything was absolutely... More

The restaurant has room for smoking, and another room for non-smoking, it is what I realize this time. Food is not good as my previous experience, somehow, both in quality, and plate presentation. Smoking room with yellow lights make atmosphere relaxed and more appetite, I think. The white neon light of non-smoking room make me feel pale. Anyway, that is... More

This place has been my top favorite in Hanoi but not any more. The foods taste different this time (January 2015) from those in December 2014. I don't know the reason but guess the chef is different now. Only one point: the dessert became a bit nicer than before.

Really pleasant to have good French cuisine in hanoi. Good wines and very tasty cheese ! You ll really appreciate this break and it's so nice to be in a French restaurant with only Vietnamese people around you ! I didn't know that Vietnamese people like so much French gastronomy !
