From outside the place looks nothing special but the food inside certainly is. I Had the beef stirfry and the girlfriend had the spaghetti bolognese both perfect. Beer was cheap and service was quick. Would eat here again.

We have eaten here four times this week , with one traveller with a sensitive stomach and they were friendly and helpful. At one time they made a mistake with the bill and chased us down the street to give us a small amount of money back. The soft shell crab I love and my partner says their spring rolls... More

We passed here on an afternoon wander, and it looked really busy so we decided to give it a go. Upon first glance at the menu some of the local dishes seemed quite expensive, but there are a couple of sections in the menu for cheaper things (50-80K). We had to sit inside as there were no outdoor tables, which... More

Food was amazing. I had the shrimp in coconut milk and spring rolls. Very clean & friendly staff. You can't beat the price!

We ate here regularly when we were staying across the lane at the Hanoi Imperial Hotel. An extensive menu of Western and Local food that hit the spot. A very popular spot and can be hard to get an Al Fresco table at times but that's because the food is good. We enjoyed watching the street sellers and shoe shiners... More

We stayed on the same street as Rainbow Cafe. It always seemed to be busy. The smoothy and dish that I had was average but I only ate there once. The cafe itself is a nice place to get a drink, relax and people watch.

Recommended by staff at the Old Centre Hotel down the street. We ate at the Rainbow for lunch or dinner on three occasions over five days and tried a good part of the (Vietnamese) menu. Hanoi or Rainbow spring rolls especially recommended as was the fish with rice paper rolls (DIY), soft shell crab in tamarind or salty egg sauce,... More

This is our favourite restraint in Hanoi. It was suggested by our hotel on the first night and we returned to it several times including for our last viet meal in Hanoi. Quick convenient good choice on the menu. We liked all versions of spring rolls (hanoi fresh or rainbow) and he dishes in clay pot especially the chicken are... More

Staff is super attentive and the chef is flexible - prepared me a delicious simple rice soup that was not on the menu.
