My wife & I arrived at our hotel in Hanoi late evening on Saturday, January 24, and were soon out walking the streets (which is quite an experience in itself) of the Old Quarter, looking for a restaurant to have dinner, when we stumbled across Restaurant 96. There were only two patrons remaining in the restaurant when my wife &... More

The food here was a tiny bit more expensive than most of the meals we had eaten across Viet Nam but it was delicious. Their menu includes a wide variety of traditional Vietnamese dishes and street food items - the fried spring rolls and pork Bun Cha were especially good. Service was also excellent - very attentive!

This is 1 of some good places in Ha Noi i've passed by many times with my traveller group. Nice food, nice atmosphere, vietnamese traditional decoration. Come at night time for good service from the manager. Highly recommend Nem, Bun Cha, Ga Sot Nam.

My group and I (15 or so people) stumbled upon this place accidently. We walked in mid afternoon, tired and hungry, and were warmly greeted and promptly served cold, cheap beer and drinks. I ordered the Cha Ca Thang Long (a Hanoi favorite - fish with dill and rice noodles) It was fantastic. Everyone in the group was impressed -... More

We came here for dinner and found everything to be pretty average. The one exception was the outstanding egg plant dish, and actually, I am not a big fan of egg plant generally. We needed spoons to eat and serve some of the food, but were not given any.

What a disappointment - this restaurant was really BLAH! Absolutely no spicing and no taste. I can't imagine why it is so popular. The wait staff was frriendly enough but not very good stacked the dishes too much when clearing the table and then left a lot of dirty dishes on the table. Inexpensive, but even then not worth the... Very nice and friendly restaurant in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. I had the chicken salad with banana leaves and the bun chan ca hanoi, both was very delicious and came very quickly.

Ordered spring rolls, fish in sour broth (96 restaurant special) and grilled pork, all were awesome, made me wonder why I did not discover this place earlier! (Just next door to my hotel) great food, can have this everyday
