Nothing special, quite pricey but lovely staff

Having read great reviews we decided to try this place out, it was busy but service was still nice and friendly altho a little stretched. Food was very average for restaurants here, still nice but nothing special and at a premium price tag over other restaurants.

Having read previous reviews we were really looking forward to dining here...unfortunately it disappointed. the dining experience was itself awful; the restaurant was busy and clearly under-staffed which resulted a very rushed meal - rushed by our waitress, who started clearing our plates before we'd even finished. the food was nice, but over-priced for what it was and fairly minimalist.... I went there for dinner on a Saturday night. Food was really good prices were reasonable. They had a really interesting range of regional Vietnamese dishes, beyond the usual pho and spring rolls. Service was a little slow but very friendly. Clean and charming. Our waitress showed us how to eat the different foods. I would go back again.

This is one of the best places we have eaten in nearly a month travelling in Vietnam. Absolutely delicious food and good service. The Beef steak, Hanoi spring rolls and Beef in red wine are all amazing. We went for lunch. I would highly recommend for authentic Vietnamese food.

After a month eating in 4 different parts of Vietnam, and trying 40+ places of all sorts, the Restaurant 96 gave us the pleasure to combine the best things we look for when choosing somewhere to eat (local atmosphere, great local food, affordable prices and easy going/local people). This was one of my favourite meals in Vietnam. The food we... More

I came here for dinner and had a great meal with exceptional service. I had a couple of glasses of wine but there was cheap beer and an extensive cocktail list (the ones going out from to bar looked good). Service was terrific. As I sat down a large group of around 20 walked in. I was impressed how efficient... More

This was a worthwhile stop for lunch amid the chaos of the Old Quarter. The restaurant is situated in a slightly quieter street and they have a nice table outside on the street which was pleasant to sit at. They have a broad selection of Vietnamese standards, as well as some special dishes. We had nice shrimp spring rolls as... More

Firstly the food was very good, the service was excellent and informative! But even coming from cold britain the previous day we even found the temperature cold! Anyway back to the food. We tried a selection of starters and main courses and all were excellent in flavour and presentation. The lady (i think the owner) was really helpful and informative.... More
