I really liked Ola De Tapas, we've been to Spain a handful of times and I think this is pretty close to a typical tapas joint. This however is not like those bling, modern tapas restaurants we see all over the world now, with carefully contrived spaces, chill out music, wrought iron, imported ceramics, fancy ingedients, over the top waiters... We ordered bread with tomato and salted meat as a starter which we got, then we were given a cheese and chicken tostada which we hadn't ordered and weren't charged for ( and was pretty tasty) the mains ( I can't remember what we ordered and it was only last week!) were well sized, I couldn't finish mine. The beer... More

Really extensive wine list for those hankering for a little European experience in the heart of Hanoi

The chicken was raw, the Beans overcocked, the patatas was greasy and there were 6 slices of tomato in the tomato-salat... Dont go there for eating.

I had a cocktail, steak, glass of wine and coffee for about $20. Not the cheapest place in the Old Quarter but nice if you fancy some Western food. The bread, by the way, was fresh and plentiful the night I went!

Inside was full of smoke the night we went here for dinner so we sat outside - interesting to watch the traffic/people go by. Food was ok - nothing to rave about. Beer was not cold and the Margaritas were TINY! Literally a mouth full and a half - not at all worth it!

Did not like anything we ordered- the chicken soup was so greasy I didn't eat it. The owner said that is how they make it in Spain. Had a salami panini - the 4 tiny pieces (smaller than a pepperoni slice) were hanging off the edge of the bread- because they wanted you to think the sandwich had salami in... More

Nice food, though a little odd to be eating tapas in Vietnam -- good for a break from local cuisine though.

I spent a couple of weeks in Hanoi recently and visited here regularly....... can't remember the Spanish bloke's name ... but he was a real friendly person and very hospitable ..... Don't recall eating at any other spanish restaurants so can't compare from my experience ... but it was different and delicious. In the old quarter and a pretty buzzy... More
