I ate here a few times during a recent trip to Hanoi. I really enjoyed the food and the waitress spoke excellent English, which was very helpful, as being a vegetarian can be a bit of a challenge at times in Hanoi, and she was able to assure me that the foods that I chose were suitable.

What can I say.... We found this restaurant in the beginning of our 6 night stay in Hanoi. We were greeted by a lovely young lady who could speak good English and treated us like old friends. Pricing is fantastic and the food tasted amazing. We didn't have to wait long either for meals to come out. Having been to... More

This place was a great discovery early into our time in Hanoi. In particular the tofu with caramel was spectacular. Sounds odd, but it has to be tried. Returned again on our last night in the city because it was by far the best tasting meal we'd had, and very good value.

Good service, waitress spoke excellent English and the food was incredibly tasty. The cost of the food and drinks were really cheap (for two dishes and two drinks, it cost just under $10). Highly recommend ordering the chicken with lemongrass and chilli.

We ate here on our last night in Hanoi and ordered 5 dishes to share between 4 of us - curry beef, fried spring rolls, crispy fried shrimps, fried rice & sautéed eggplant (aubergine), plus 4 juices which were reasonably priced at VND30 each. Total bill was VND433. We really enjoyed the sautéed eggplant, and the fried rice & spring... More

Like everyone we reviewed the experiences of others to try and have the best dining experiences during our 4 day stay in Hanoi. We travelled all over the city trying to replicate the experiences of others and while we had some lovely meals, the best of our 8 dining experiences was at Aubergine Cafe. On the day we visited, we... More

Amazing food city. I often eat on the street or at the beer gardens, but i had visitors "allergic" to plastic chairs and this place looked clean and all right. Wow, was I mistaken. Rats in the bathrooms, and when I accidently peeped into the kitchen it was a disgusting mess. Melting frozen food on top of each other. Trash... More

We really liked this cafe. It was recommended to us and in a two day visit to Hanoi we eat here twice. Food is well cooked, good choice and reasonable. Enjoy!

Great cheap spot. Had Aubergine, chicken in lemongrass & pork with 5 spice. Two dishes yummy, but pork too tough for me to eat. No problem though as it was all so cheap. 183 000 dong for 3 dishes & 2 beers

If you want a clean, cool, comfortable and cheap restaurant with a wide variety of delicious Vietnamese food, this is it. 2 meals and 2 beers for under $10. Not much dearer than the street food.
