Simple, tasty food

This unpretentious little spot in the old quarter serves simple, wholesome and tasty food at a very reasonable cost. Good food.... Not a great atmosphere. Banana leaf salad and chicken lemon grass skewers were great. Would go back just nothing special.

So looking for somewhere to eat in what can only be described as a sea of options!!! In the old quarter easy to find and great food selection!!! So much so we couldn't decide and order way over what was needed! However, the best food I've had in a while! The grilled pork skewers with sticky rice were immense! And... More

4 of us and our Vietnamese group leader went for dinner, I never know if we get treated better having a local with us but I like to think westerners would get the same service on their own. We didn't bother with drinks as they were a bit pricey and we're saving for Ha Long Bay. I went for the... More

Loved our meal here - like other reviewers, recommend the Bun Cha and Bun Bo Nam Bo. There were a couple of large(ish) tour groups in there, but we went about 6pm and ordered before they did. Service was good but they kept wanting to take dishes away when we hadn't finished with them!!!!

The food here was average and prices about 5-10 more for most items. My dish of beef and greens with rice noodles lacked the flavours I had at other places, but someone else had the duck with basil and it was very tasty. Staff is friendly and service is reasonably quick.

My family visited Hanoi in 2011 and again this year, and just like every other trip, we would recount our best experiences when we came home. Both times we picked Yin & Yang as our favorite real authentic Vietnamese restaurant. Foods were really really delicious, which is the most important thing, and adding to that is the friendly and helpful... More

Reading other reviews we thought this would be a good place to eat. Unfortunately we had a mediocre meal, poor quality chicken very little spice / greasy. Just un-eadable had to leave it. Had far better street meals at a fraction of the price. Cannot recommend at all Robert

Small but cosy restaurant serving a good selection of Vietnamese food with a touch of Western, located in the old quarter worth the visit.
