This review was really late. I have been here once before and the consistency was apparent. I enjoyed the coffee and chocolate confections. The outdoor seating at the museum was more pleasant for me. Definitely returning if I visit Hanoi again, though I may not visit the museum. 😇😄

We had a very relaxing a lengthy luncheon here as a nice break in our most enjoyable tour of the museum and exhibits. The food is pretty average and a little expensive but given it serves a 'captive audience' this was not a surprise. The facility serves to train young entrants to the world of hospitality and seems to do... More

Run by school students this restaurant was pleasantly peaceful. After looking through the Ethnology museum (the restaurant is inside the museum) we came to the restaurant and were served by lovely students. The food was very good offering french cuisine as well as traditional Vietnamese food. For drinks they had a wide variety of juices, alcohol, hot beverages and soft... More

I love the idea of students learning about the food industry by running a restaurant.after a lovely tour of the museum we stopped in here for lunch.straight away I knew something was wrong. There was one other couple in the restaurant but we were left for close to half an hour before the staff came to take our drink orders.... More

The best cappuccino we had in Hanoi. Lovely tarts, delicious food. Highly recommended for lunch or a break while touring the museum. Very friendly staff. Came for a coffee...stayed for lunch.

After visiting the inside of the Ethnology museum, I stopped for lunch in Baguette & Chocolat. The place is run by students, as some kind of training, and the food was just awesome! Very delicious, nice looking place, very friendly service, all this with a splendid view over the traditional Vietnamese houses that surround the Ethnology museum. Definitely recommended!

We are travelling a a five, my husband, his parents and our daughter. The museum itself is fantastic and this was an amazing find! Wow all of the food was amazing. We tried a significant portion of the Vietnamese dishes and the stand outs would have to be: bun bo, grilled pork with spring rolls, pho ga oh and, the... More

Quaint colonial house converted to a 6 room boutique hotel. The rooms are basic with hot showers and portable heater at $30 per room. Simple bed, clean bathroom. But when we were there in early January, the whole SaPa town was out of electricity. And this boutique hotel do not have their own generator ! We were so cold. The... More

N21°2'25.63" E105°47'52.77" The Vietnam Museum of Ethnology is a bit of the tourist track, take a 30 minute taxi ride from the town center, but worth the visit if you want to know more about the minorities in Vietnam. As reward you can have lunch in the museum garden in one of four Hoa Sua Training Restaurants. A delightful refuge... More
