We stumbled on this little place by accident - it is quite small and in the middle of the Old Quarter. The service is very friendly and the food is very good. I thought prices were fairly inexpensive and the food was fresh and the drinks were cold. I would have to say the the delightful girl who was working... More

We went to Pineapple on a whim because we were walking by and it looked good. They wanted to seat us upstairs but the upstairs is kinda BLAH so we opted to split our group in two and sit downstairs. The food was very good and prices were reasonable.

We visited Hanoi old quarter last week! Our travel guide proposed to us to have lunch in this small restaurant in the old quarter. He was right. The place was simple but the food was excellent. We had the lunch menu. Everything was very tasteful, especially the aubergine pot! Do not miss it if you go there.

We visited Pineapple in April this year on the recommendation of one of the staff at our hotel. It is a tiny little place with the most amazing food and lovely staff. We were traveling with a very fussy five year old and they went out of their way to make him food he would enjoy, plus fussed over him... More

The nems are simply delicious, with an original presentation. The staff is really nice, they like it when you try to speak Vietnamese! It is best to seat upstairs, there is a little less noise. Typical Vietnamese restaurant.

my family ate hear three days in a row because they couldn't fault the food or the service, it took alot of convincing that other places would be as good, if you want hassle free dinning with great flavours than this is a good choice

Had a quick dinner downstairs where the atmosphere is not as good as upstairs in a quiet room. Always best to ask to be seated upstairs in restaurants around here to escape the hussle and bussle of the streets. Food is great, and the beef with cinnamon is a treat. Staff are friendly and always have a smile. A good... More

I travel to Viet Nam a fair bit on business. Usually once a month to either Hanoi or Saigon. Every trip to Hanoi I always make a point of eating at Pineapple, and more than once if I have time. Having read the reviews, it seems like one or two people have had a mediocre experience (with the exception of... More

We went to dine placing our motorbike in front of the restaurant with the helmets. When we left the restaurant, the waiter was seated on the motorbike and, the worst and the very bad surprise, the helmets were gone. We asked him to bring them back or the restaurant to pay back. With a big stupid smile, he replied that... More
