Great find near Intercontinental Westlake

Found this bistro by accident, walking through the area. Upstairs in front offers a table by the open window and there are seats on the balcony overlooking the street for a cool beer while soaking up the atmosphere. Food is good and while not cheap, is good value for money. Menu is varied and... read more

My wife and I spent 2 months living in Tay Ho this spring. We regularly had breakfast at Saint Honore, the occasional brunch, the occasional take away and we bought cakes befitting of two special occasions. I told the manager that his breads and cakes would match any bakery cum patisserie in France and I truly believe it. If the... More

Stumbled across this place walking around, decided to go in for lunch and wine, absolutely amazing, steak was perfectly cooked and the pepper sauce was the best I have ever tasted, friendly staff and fantastic service.

We were staying at the Intercontinental Hotel around the corner, and we stopped to try the French pastries after being disappointed by the offerings at our hotel. We shared a chocolate soufflé which was absolutely fantastic. It was super rich and chocolatey and really hit the spot. It was a little pricy by local standards at 50000 VND, but still... More

We went here for lunch today with a friend after a 4 hour bike ride. We were able to safely park our bikes outside under someone's watchful eye. The restaurant staff was very good. We ordered onion soup, Parisian crepe, goat cheese salad, chocolate and banana milk shake and Spaghetti Carbonara. Everything tasted quite authentic to us. The servings were... More

We walked past here with my boyfriend after dinner one night and the desserts in the window looked irresistible, so we got a doughnut and a chocolate pud (like a cold melt-in-the-middle). They were amazing!!! The little ring doughnut was so good we came back two more times in our 4 day stay in Hanoi. I highly highly recommend it.... More

I took my wife here for Valentine's Day brunch and we were pretty disappointed. I ordered pancakes---whoops, they were out of pancakes (even though we were the only customers in the restaurant). My eggs benedict were not prepared properly--the eggs were hard in the middle. Also, I needed to put on my reading glasses to actually see the strip of... More

the cakes and chocolates here are wonderful, as are most of the hot drinks (don't bother with the expensive "premium" coffee, it tastes exactly the same as the regular stuff they have). the interior is warm and a nice place to relax. even as a deli, this place is good - a decent selection of cheeses and cold cuts. however,... My partner and myself popped in for a light lunch and got the almond croissant and a coffee. I have to say the croissant was lovely and the coffee was decent but by Vietnamese coffee standards it's not as good.

Like I say, only bought a croissant to take away but it was delicious and worthy of a review. Will get one tomorrow too.
