Vietnamese food with a French feel

The restaurant looked like a French Bistro, but, the food was Vietnamese. Very nice, but not fantastic. I had the Duck with mandarin sauce, which was delicious. My husband had lemongrass chicken, okay, but not great. The service was very good. I was not disappointed.

The food here is something special and worth every penny... And it's not too pricey either! The spring rolls are divine as are the soups... Seafood is the way to go here for sure!

Staying in hotel de l'opera it was only 2 min. walk to this excellent restaurant with perfect food. I had duck in mandarin sauce. The first course was spring rolls attached on a enlighten ananas, romantic!

Visited this restaurant twice during our stay. Staff friendly and restaurant clean. The food was reasonably priced and very tasty. Large selection to choose from.

Nice setting, Exquisite service, good traditional food... a little pricey, not occidental standards, of course, but for Vietnam for sure... Don't be afraid to get in though, you won't get hammered! it remains very reasonable and the experience of the place is worth it especially if you are looking for a romantic evening.

We found this place by chance just 100m from our hotel (Hotel L'Opera). We had one of the set menus and with a bottle of wine, it did work out quite expensive by Vietnam standards ($40 a head). But the presentation and quality were worth it. If you get a table by the window you can amuse yourselves by watching... More

So glad we ended up there as the restaurant we have chosen was being refurbished . The hotel recommended as it was within walking distance from the Opera House. What a delight! Great food, fantastic service and just a beautiful place.

I found this place by pure chance on a rainy afternoon. The main dining area / bar are in an old French colonial mansion. The setting is really sublime. The menu is mostly French influenced, well presented and just overall special.

The Club Opera is situated in an old house in the center of Hanoi, and the interior is simple but nice, with ancient floor tiles, aesthetic shelves with all kinds of good drinking stuff ! Lunch at 12 USD in these surroundings and this location is a bargain; food is nice and inventive, service fast and wine prices acceptable. A... More
