Go here if your on a budget, food is nice. You get 2 large bottles tiger beer for like 25,000 it's a two for one offer they do. Spring tools are tasty!

Same as a previous view. As we had 2 weeks of vietnamese food we needed a break and headed in. Great value, high quality food. My gf said they were the best cocktails she's had in Vietnam too. Blue Hawaiian we think. We came back for the sandwich for lunch the next day!

Greasy spring rolls and tasteless noodles burned and greasy. We thought would be better. Don't ask for local food, maybe western food is good.

Ordered the spaghetti Bolognese and cheesy garlic bread. My friends starter came fairly soon but mine was no where to be seen. Main dishes were served and about 20 minutes after ordering my starter arrives. Service was average and food was not the greatest

We wanted some western food after 2 weeks of Asian cuisine. We walked through the Old Quarter and looked at various menus. We decided to eat here for 2 reasons: air conditioned and variety. The prices are reasonable and the food is of decent quality. Portion sizes are large by Vietnamese standards, but not too large (defintiely not Western sized... More

Eventually, one tires of Asian food and requires some good old Western dishes....and Gecko is just the place. The food is good, not fabulous, but basic and good. Burgers, pizza etc. And cold beer. What more could you ask for?

We found a Gecko on Hang Gai just around the corner from our hotel. It was raining so we thought we'd try it to save going further. The food was excellent and the drinks cold. We ordered a few cocktails and the owner came and told us about a special cocktail he makes using a contraption with cups that flow... More

During business in Hanoi, partners take me to Gecko, stay in Hanoi old quarter. Small bar at 2 nd floor, 80s music. 2-3$ for a drink. Good service and favourite.
