Description: Located on the top floor of Elegance Diamond hotel, the Gourmet Corner...
Located on the top floor of Elegance Diamond hotel, the Gourmet Corner restaurant and terrace bar boast the finest view of Hanoi from the 12th floor, overlooking Hoan Kiem Lake, the Red River and the ever-growing skyline of Hanoi. The Gourmet Corner food menu is the combination of Vietnamese and some Western favorites. Our Vietnamese food options mostly are the dishes from the North. In northern Vietnam, a colder climate limits the production and availability of spices. As a result, the foods are often less spicy than those in other regions, especially the middle part of Vietnam. Black pepper is used in place of chili as the most popular ingredient to produce spicy flavors. Also, coriander is used commonly in most dishes. In general, northern Vietnamese cuisine is not bold in any particular taste - sweet, salty, spicy, bitter, or sour. Most northern Vietnamese foods feature light and balanced flavors that result from subtle combinations of many different flavoring ingredients. You can also drop by for a drink at the terrace bar to see the panoramic view of the lake, the river in the sunset. On 7th, 8th and 9th February 2016, we shall serve the Special Set Menus with some options from the A La Carte. From 10th February, the full A La Carte is going to be available again.

We chose to eat here as we were staying at the hotel below. Service from our waiter Johnny was exceptional. He was friendly, attentive, informative and he engaged with our 5 yr old son throughout our meal. Food was delicious and the view was great. Would definitely choose this restaurant to eat again.

Me and my husband went to this restaurant for dinner. Since it was Tet holiday (New Lunar Year) the menu was limited to 3 sets. We chose the vegetarian and the vietnamese one. The food was good and the wine was really good. Highlights of the dinner were the beef (perfect medium-well done) and the banana rolls as dessert. The... More

This was booked for us by our hotel the Elegance Ruby and they ensured that we had the best table with tremendous views over the city. The food was delicious and offered Vietnamese and more Western style dishes, beautifully presented and the service very good.

We were there for dinner on our last night in Hanoi and got a table with beautiful lake view. Ordered an apple and mint lassi, lime juice, a pomelo salad, cashew chicken and stuffed eggplant tower. All food are well-presented, delicious and staff there are friendly and very attentive. Since it near the Lunar New Year period, the restaurant has... More

This restaurant is at the top of a hotel in Hanoi, walking distance from the Sofitel Grand Metropole. Since my wife and I were staying at the Sofitel we decided to go to Gourmet Corner our first night in Hanoi. To start, the restaurant's atmosphere was very welcoming with a terrific view. Our waiter was such a nice guy and... More

We did an impromptu overnite in Hanoi off our cruise ship, nothing pre-booked and it was a marvelous experience. We stayed at the Elegance Ruby, a sister hotel to the Elegance Diamond and ate at the Gourmet Corner Restaurant on the top level over looking the Hoan Kiem lake. The food was delicious and our waiter, Johnny, was charming We... More
