Looks nice and had high expectations when we first arrived. Our seats were the first disapointment located near the loud busy kitchen entrance. Food was not bad but in my opinion not worth the cost

It's a nice place but, unfortunately, its average food didn't really make it worth a visit (with two exceptions, though - cinnamon and spiced caramel ice cream was delicious). Service wasn't terribly attentive, to say the least - took us a long time to attract any attention of wondering near by waiters. Quite expensive by vietnamese standards and, for some...

In the old town, the former Spanish culture centre has become an oasis of calm and wellbeing. The owner is French, and the menu is apparently a tribute to his Vietnamese mother-in-law (or was it grandmother-in-law?). Mme Hien must (have been) quite a lady. This restaurant was recommended by many... well, it was a disappointment.
The dishes were ok but nothing special, they only serve overpriced overseas wines when Vietnam produces some very good and cheap ones.

What a great restaurant in the Old Quarter . Vietnamese fusion at its best . Delicious , bit more expensive than the street fare but worth the extra !
We had a nice bottle of wine and I ordered Cha Ca. It was OK but completely lacked dill...which is one of the flavors that makes Cha Ca so special.
We sat outdoors on a beautiful evening and the tables quickly filled with other tourists. This was by far our most expensive meal in Vietnam, and the food was okay, but not spectacular. Still the setting was lovely and the service was good. However, as our celebratory last meal in Vietnam it was a bit of a letdown in terms...

We went here based on a recommendation from the Hanoi Luxe guide, hmmm! Dull service and bland food. Perhaps once upon a time it was worth a mention, now its worth a miss.
The Madame Hien restaurant was recommended to us by the hotel receptionist. it was a very enjoyable dining experience. We were offered indoor or alfresco dining and chose the latter. The menu was very extensive with many Asian and Western options. The service was friendly and efficient. I chose the soft shell crab and it was served with vegetables and...

We went to Madame Hien on our second to last day in Vietnam. We wanted to try authentic Vietnamese food in an upscale atmosphere and were not disappointed. It's located in an old French style building off the beaten drag.
The service was excellent with everyone very attentive to serving and removing dishes. One odd thing is that they have...
