Had a lovely meal here during my stay in Hanoi. We had three of our kids travelling with us and we all gave it a big thumbs up. Great food and service and well priced.

Nice ambience, good view of cathedral from outside terrace, helpful staff and very good spring rolls and chicken curry. We visited twice during our stay in Hanoi and would go back again. They advertise fresh water and ice and chicken breast so suited to western palate.

Lovely location overlooking St Joseph's. Quaint balcony good wine choice. Great spot just to people watch and observe the chaos below. We went back several times despite the huge choice of fantastic bars and cafés in Hanoi. This place really stands out a little haven.

good place to go for a quick snack, lunch, dinner or a drink. You can make drawings on the table. Well located in front of the catherial. Try to get a table on the second floor!

I ate here twice during a 3-week business trip, when I occasionally got a craving for something Western. They have Asian dishes as well. Balcony with cathedral view offers a nice place to sip a beer and if the fans don't keep you cool enough, the upstairs dining room has AC. On a Sunday afternoon I saw a splendid procession... More

When I am staying in the Old Quarter, I go to this restaurant almost every day...for a mid-morning coffee, for lunch, for a cold drink in the mid-afternoon, or for dinner. The menu is tremendously varied and includes an excellent assortment of Vietnamese and Western dishes, all affordably priced. From the balcony the view of St. Joseph's Cathedral is unsurpassed.... Went here to read and cool down after a long day. I only ordered a honey citrus drink and the staff let me stay for almost three hours! It's a decent hang out place, with a lot of local youth dropping by for some quality chitchat with friends. Get the seats by the second floor window to get a view... More

it had a great vibe and a great location. But, the food was not so yummy. I've tasted far better food and coffee in the street corners of Vietnam. I was barely able to finish my bun cha and the chocolate crepe I ordered was a bit too thick and too rubbery for crepes to my liking.

This cafe is just by St Joseph Cathedral and upstairs offers views of the church. The cafe is modern with young staff, great food and fab service. The food was tasty and good value, but the cocktails ok, so stick to beer or the juices.

La Place hit all the marks. The price of the food seems pretty standard for the area - and given the location, I think it's very reasonable. The range is $4-$8 for a dish. (the Bun Cha was $3, the Cha Ca was $5). The food was really tasty, and they make a very respectable cappuccino (perfect temperature and milk-to-coffee... More
