So we couldn't in a million years afford to actually stay at the Hotel Metropole Hanoi (inside which Le Club Bar is located), but thought we would take a trip there for drinkies, and to see how the other half live. Boy do they live well! We sat in L'Orangerie, which is a beautiful European-inspired conservatory (or glass-house if you... More

We had the chocolate buffet high tea in the lovely Le Club and enjoyed the ambience. The buffet was adequate and obviously having a choc buffet is the height of decadence, but the selection was relatively limited - especially for the savoury stuff - and somewhat lacking in creativity. We've had better high tea buffets in Singapore. If you really... More

We highly recommend the Chocolate Buffet at Le Club Room, it starts at 3pm daily and is $27AU per person. Yes, it sounds expensive, especially for Vietnam, but a buffet like this in Australia is about $60 per head, and having had high tea in more than one country, this one is really worth it! The setting is lovely, sophisticated... More

We enjoyed our sundowners here. Staff were excellent despite being very busy. One waitress has to be commended by the way she handled a noisy vietnamese customer. Discrete and efficient is one way of phrasing it. Not cheap, but quality.

We went to the Metropole hotel bar for after dinner drinks both nights we were in Hanoi. The whole hotel setting was beautiful and the staff could not do enough to assist us. We had a drink in the Le Club where we were treated to some great jazz music and then went outside to the pool bar for a... More

We visited for the chocolate buffet, absolutely sumptuous and divine. All strengths and forms of chocolate you can imagine is presented on this abundant buffet of delicacies. Choices of tea were generous as well. I chose the rose tea, and my husband chose the jasmine. We went to cool down and relax from visiting the city, we were definitely satisfied.... More

We did the Chocolate Buffet High Tea on our final day in Hanoi whilst a beautiful dining experience, I probably wouldn't do it again. It was fun but then ruined our last night as we were full from the buffet and didn't want to go out. The chocolate elements of the high tea were so intensive and rich - I... More

This is a fantastic restaurant, superb Asian food and excellent, friendly service. I have only had the "all you can eat" dim sim at lunch time, but feel sure the food would be excellent at all other time to. Try the duck wraps, sublime! There is a children's room, with toys and TV, all very close to your table.

It's decadent beyond belief, but we went to the Sofitel today and revelled in the dessert buffet. It's the most stylish hotel by far in Hanoi already, but this is just the (home-made & gourmet) ice cream on the cake. There is a wide variety of sweets available and I went back twice for the crepe with dark chocolate, cinnamon... More

Sat by pool with snacks and cocktails on last night in Hanoi. A little bit of history and chance to chill - expensive but worth every penny!!!
