Not only was the food amazing - they were very considerate about making modifications as needed for food allergies - but the staff was fantastic. So warm and friendly (not something you see as much in Hanoi). We were staying in the Intercontinental Hanoi Westlake and the concierge called for a table - the staff rushed up and down the... More

Good views, interesting eclectic decor, nice roof terrasse & interesting building but food was really not as we expected from reviews ( being used to hkg, sing or shanghai might make us picky?)... But definitively a good place to start ... Or end an evening

We had our final Hanoi dinner at Don's, staying at the Sheraton it was a pleasant easy walk to dinner...Having just eaten for 10 straight nights in nice high end Vietnamese restaurants it was nice to experience the large range on Don's menu and have a combination of both Vietnamese and western food. We were pleased with the quality of... More

Heard about the restaurant and I came here for lunch. Maybe dinner would be better time for views and atmostphere as the decoration looks normal at day time. I ordered a fried lopster and some other dishes. The lopster is presented nice but not so fresh. Dessert is just ok, not something brilliant. Customer service is just normal, not excellent

Went here for Canadian Thanksgiving, and if I were Don I would be embarrassed. The food was overpriced and frankly not very good. The main dish was passable other than the yams, but our pie which was served for dessert was still frozen. It was not the type of meal you would expect from a top rated restaurant. The view... More

If you like very loud live music during your meal such that you can't converse, and if you want average quality food, high prices then this is a must-do place. Nice views over Tay Ho West Lake.

We just popped in for a drink but the menu looked so good we stayed for nibbles. Great place to chill on the roof top terrace overlooking West Lake. Good offering of wine and beer and an interesting, eclectic menu offering both western and Asian food. Best shrimp and pork spring rolls so far! Added bonus was the jazz band... More

Probably the best restaurant we ate at in our travels around Vietnam although not the cheapest. Sitting on the balcony on the top floor gives a nice outlook. Staff were very courteous and the owner Don, came out with us to discuss what we thought of his place while we waited for a taxi.
