Food is quite typical although it felt quite strange when I sat down because I realized that the only Vietnamese there were the waiters.. But I was satisfied with the food. We were 3 and we shared a lot- steamed rice with vegetables, beef with honey and sesame seeds, tofu, vietnamese rolls plus 3 big Ha Noi bia, and everything... More

This is a great little place, very popular (a little too popular), but has loads going for it. Ate there three times, and especially loved the claypot dishes (aubergine in particular, but also the chicken). Tried the hot pot once which was outstanding - not recommended unless you're massively hungry, as even the small one could feel a large family.... More

We go to Newday every time we are in Hanoi. It is getting very popular and this may be taking some of it's specialness away. The pork ribs with newday sauce are great, unfortunately they forgot our other dish. A few years ago the food was great, prices cheap, food still good but they are becoming mainstream, like enthusiastic door... More

Local food, good price, and excellent service. We go 3 times, and always a good service, fast and cheap price. You can eat with local people, one of my favorite in Hanoi

Recommended by our hotel the food was fantastic. The place was very busy full of locals and a few tourists. The place had a real buzz to it, we really enjoyed the vibe. The menu was varied with plenty of choices and reasonably priced we hope to visit again.

It does not look like the best, but inside its vietnam pure. Small stairs takes you on more Levels, the rooms are small, but the Ambiente is fantastic. Sitting on the ground eating makes it more authentic. Had a Lot of fun, very very good food, a must when in Hanoi!! 😃

Stayed in Hanoi for 7 days. Couldn't resist going back here. Great Menu, Fntastic tasting food. Was originally recommned by Lisa from Thaison Gand Hotel and lived up to its recommendation. Like the city it is in it is hustle and bustle. Excellent for people watchign and meeting a great cross section of Hanoi diners. The tourist, teh ex pat,... More

After me and my family went for a half day city tour, we then looked around in our map to get into a place with a nice meals. Firstly, we wanted to go to another recommendable top street food in Old Quarter, but then when we arrived, our parents don't really find it comfortable eating with the kind of ambiance... More

Great comprehensive Hanoian and Western menu. If you want a good honest feed that is super tasty in reasonable comfort look no further. Most of the other eateries surrounding this place in the Old Quarter have very short stools to sit on but the New Day had normal height comfortable chairs and glass top tables inside. We ordered frogs legs,... More

The cost of the food is very cheap but the quality is fantastic - the staff are friendly and where it is situated you get a great feel of the cities atmosphere. Would recommend this place.
