Stayed in Hanoi for 5 days and ate at many different places but found new day to be extremely consistent with great and simple vietnamese food, with excellent service and a pleasant atmosphere! Strongly recommend.

The food at this restaurant is phenomenal. The green papaya salad is amazing. The staff are friendly and helpful. This is nota tourist haunt and the place was filled with local families. It offers great value for money and it has a canteen vibe to it where you share tables with others. Very informal and fast-paced ambience. Pity we only... More

We enjoyed many good restaurants during our 4 day stay in Hanoi. However, as it comes to pure and simple Vietnamese food, nothing came close to New Day. This is the best wat to enjoy a vast array of street food with comfort of proper seating restaurant. We did try, for this very purpose, Quan An Ngon, which is recommended... More

Went to this restaurant nearly everyday for either lunch or dinner. Convenient, great food, cheap and tasty! Defiantly recommend.

We headed to New Day as it was written up so much. It was great to be able to find it easily, turn up and be welcomed straight in and sat down. Staff spoke excellent English, food was quick and extensive menu. I think that when you arrive in Hanoi it's quite overwhelming, we had 2 kids with us, everyone... More

We ate here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner, their food was delicious and they have a good range of dishes to serve, would recommend to anyone looking for a traditional Vietnamese restaurant in Ha Noi

Ate here twice during our brief Hanoi visit mid July 2014. Food is NOT fresh. This is bad fast food. Felt bloated and yucky after. This is not quality authentic Vietnamese food (local hotels are pushing it big time). Not worth the money. Walkway to bathroom is disgusting!!!!

We had lunch here on the recommendation of our hotel staff. Don't be put off from the front, it is jam packed with locals and tourists. The food was really cheap and good quality. They obviously have a high turnover as the food comes out quickly and every table is always full. The staff were friendly and the service was... More

We visited this place on our first day in Hanoi. We are wrote impressed with the service. They especially like the little kid we have. All the staff speak English and no problem with communicating. We ordered a steam fish- very fresh! Ordered pho, spring rolls and a stir fried vegetable. The vege is only 30k vnd but it was... More

I've been here twice and the food and atmosphere are both great. The first time I can it was in March and still a bit chilly out so there were no outdoor tables. The restaurant has about 4 floors and many rooms and they pack people in everywhere. Today (July) I say outside. They have lots of yummy veggie choices... More
