Description: The concept of "wining and dining" comes to life at Hanoi's most chic Italian restaurant and lounge. With avant-garde design, a "who's who" guest list, live DJ music and a wine cellar filled with rare vintages and top-shelf labels, Angelina is the venue for sumptuous cuisine, champagne cocktails, and evening soirees to remembered.Angelina at the Hotel Metropole Hanoi has recruited one of Macao's finest Italian chefs, Ivan Negro, to supply some panache to the city's Italian aspirations. More than just a restaurant, Angelina is Hanoi's hip hotspot! Where all Hanoi meets up to sample wine, Italian spirits, new and original cocktails, martinis and rare cigars. Often a crowd of over 100 people gather outside on the pavement to wait for a table, an eclectic population, a cross-section of society including travellers of all nationalities, officials and local celebrities, Hanoi's most fashionable hairdresser, the deputy director of the hotel... No two nights are ever the same at Angelina- it's all about spontaneity. For a simple pasta meal this really was eye-wateringly expensive even in international terms. The food was Good but not excellent but the big issue it the noise from the bar downstairs. Others find the bar to be enjoyable, see reviews below, but their noisy and inebriated enjoyment percolates to the restaurant area above leading to us wanting to leave... More

We didn't eat at the restaurant, but spent quite a bit of time at the bar for happy hour (and beyond some nights!). Happy hour helps keep the expenditure down, but in any case, the bar has a good vibe and the staff are really nice with good English.

My kids like Italian food but are usually disappointed when they have it in most foreign countries. Angelia's was an exception to that and the food was well prepared and authentic tasting. Service was a bit hectic with multiple waiters and waitressed all vying to help take our order but we did not want for attention. My son's order was... More

Ate here with a couple of friends while staying in the Metropole Hotel (of which Agelina is a part). The restaurant and bar has a great vibe and the food (Italian influenced) was great but it was a bit pricey. Although I was satisfied with the meal itself I would recommend going into the old part of Hanoi and really... More

Service was great. They had no more non-smoking tables upstairs so they tried to keep the lounge smoke-free while we had dinner. The tagliatelle with mushroom and veal jus was pure deliciousness. The prawn risotto was flavorful. The pizza was adequate. We ended with ice-cream: vanilla and raspberry was really nice. The cranberry sorbet was just sour with not much... More

Pro's - great location - great menu - funky and stylely Con's - over priced for what you get. - USD 200 with out a bottle of wine. - food was a bit bland and meat dishes not very flavoursome. We ate a few other restaurants in Hanoi for a quarter of the price and twice enjoyable. It may have... More

I loved the restaurant it had a great vibe. The bar is great with excellent, well priced cocktails. The food is mostly good. Terrific pastas, good pizza and steaks. The service by the floor staff was very good and the manager outstanding. I would drink and dine at Angelina as a destination when I come to Hanoi.

The food here is excellent. They have a good variety of wines and the drinks are very good. The service is very attentive. You will enjoy this restaurant. When you first walk in it is a little smoky but if you sit upstairs you really do not notice it. It does not seem like a hotel restaurant. It is not... More
