Bun bo Nam Bo is marinating the beef, then comes making 'nuoc cham' and the pickled vegetables (shredded carrot and papaya). The pickled vegies is crispy, a little sour and a little sweet, which even makes me eat two bowls of the noodle at once. Remember to pickle the carrot (and papaya first, before marinating the beef) since it takes at least 1 hour to get a good flavor on the carrot.

YUMMY! I even came back again after a few days

I saw a very good review of this restaurant and It is indeed true! It was my first time eating Bun Bo and it was amazing. The portion was big with generous sliced beef. The broth was in balance with the herbs, crushed peanuts, pickle, and fried shallot. Mix the thin noodle in the bowl and dig in!

Found this place using TripAdvisor and was very pleased with my choice, I visited it a couple of times during my short stay in Hanoi. I liked the way you don't order, they just bring out their speciality along with a beer on request. Gets very busy so get there early!

Quick noodles. The benches are more comfortable than the tiny plastic stools and the noodles were better than average and worth the small increase in cost.

You need to have something authentic when in Hanoi. A shop with tables and a woman at the front preparing the restaurants single dish. Noodles in a sweet spicy sauce with beef beansprouts and peanuts. Fantastic. Under a fiver ($8) for two of us.

Bun bo nam bo = rice vermicelli noodles with fish sauce, bean sprouts, fried onions, peanuts and cooked sliced beef with fresh herbs. This place is more expensive than others and I think thats because there has been so many reviews on this place that its become a tourist attraction. However even though its more pricier than normal, its still... More

Our hotel recommended this dish and restaurant during our stay in Hanoi. My boyfriend and I shared a portion when we saw the bowls when entering the restaurant. It was delicious? Definitely a must try for your Hanoi trip!

If you are looking for a place to experience delicious Vietnamese street food somewhere you can sit down then this place is for you. We ate here twice on our trip and would definitely recommend. It is also a great place to get chatting to other travelers as the tables are like long picnic tables. If you are looking for... More
