Description: Bun bo Nam Bo is marinating the beef, then comes making 'nuoc cham' and the pickled vegetables (shredded carrot and papaya). The pickled vegies is crispy, a little sour and a little sweet, which even makes me eat two bowls of the noodle at once. Remember to pickle the carrot (and papaya first, before marinating the beef) since it takes at least 1 hour to get a good flavor on the carrot.

Simply put, this was one of the best meals I had in Vietnam and that is saying a lot as I had some great meals. You just need to order the signature plate, Bun Bo Nam Bo and you are set. It is simply noodles, beef, chopped lettuce, peanuts, and mung beans. Throw a little soy and hot sauce on... More

Not like the other big restaurants in the Old Quarter of Hanoi, this one is small but offers excellent and typical of Hanoi. Will be back next time. Worth your try if you visit Hanoi

Don't expect nice tables and chairs or pleasant customer service. Do expect fantastic street food (beef noodles), served quickly, at very reasonable price. My teenage son ate two bowls...

My sister and I tried this place after searching top 10, I'll keep it short and sweet. 1) Fixed prices; menu is simple, order what everyone else is eating. Didn't fancy the fermented sausage though (gio) 2) It's fast and efficient, so many people coming in there's always a waitress around, just flag her down or shout "Em Oi" 3)... More

We loved this place so much that we went back twice! Simple, delicious and no need to decide on what to order, simple delicious freshly prepared noodles, cold beer and all for a great price! The restaurant is pretty basic but the food makes up for it!

Easy to find, one dish to choose and delicious. We loved this dinner - for $7 we ate like kings. Super quick and it filled us up for an afternoon of walking!

First things first, this is not a normal restaurant, there is only one dish you can 'order'. Well I say order but you just sit down and after a while of looking around you waiting for someone to notice you, you suddenly get a bowl of noodles placed before you, no explanation. Obviously I'm not used to yelling at staff,... More

Went in here on a whim because my GF doesn't eat pork. Holy crap. SO GOOD. The signature dish is sliced beef on bun noodles with a bunch of happy stuff piled on. Could not tell you everything that was in it but it was amazing. toss on some lime and hot sauce to make it even better. Run, don't... More
