Description: Bun bo Nam Bo is marinating the beef, then comes making 'nuoc cham' and the pickled vegetables (shredded carrot and papaya). The pickled vegies is crispy, a little sour and a little sweet, which even makes me eat two bowls of the noodle at once. Remember to pickle the carrot (and papaya first, before marinating the beef) since it takes at least 1 hour to get a good flavor on the carrot.

Went by trip advisor recommendations and decided to seek this place out. Definitely did not disappoint! They do one dish well and pretty much served us the second we sat down. The restaurant is fairly basic, long and narrow with communal tables and short stools. 55,000vnd for a pretty decent size serving of bun bo and the flavours were very... More

From the outside this place might look a bit intimidating for foreigners. Go in! They serve one or two dishes and the food is fantastic, such good value, don't miss it when in Hanoi

This great street food find was next to our hotel and it was awesome. On entering you only order how many - delicious bowls of rice vermicelli with fragrant broth, beef, herbs, the perfect balance of flavours. We ate here 3 times and will miss it.

Ate here on our first night in Vietnam after reading trip adviser reviews. Took us a while to find the place, looks nothing from the outside and a bit daunting when first enter. Don't be put off by this, beef noodles are great, cooked fresh. Sat eating amongst the washing up but all added to the experience , lovely Young... More

They pretty much only do one dish (bun bo - beef noodles), but they do it well. I asked to get the chicken dish, but she said, in broken English, that it's really hard to eat. We didn't feel like arguing. The dish was very tasty and came in less than 5 minutes. Fabulous deal for about $3.

We ate here on our first night in Vietnam and we very glad we did. Exactly as we'd imagined food to be in Hanoi and cheap as you can imagine. They specialise in 2 dishes: Noodles with beef or noodles without beef - simple and it works! They were some of the best noodles we had during 3 1/2 weeks... More

Pumped into this restaurant after reading many nice reviews from tripadvisor. However, our experience was not completely satisfied as: this is not a typical Bun Bo that you'd find in the South of Vietnam even though it name introduces that meaning. (We are local travelers from very south of Vietnam) With this price range, you can get much nicer food... More
