Description: Bun bo Nam Bo is marinating the beef, then comes making 'nuoc cham' and the pickled vegetables (shredded carrot and papaya). The pickled vegies is crispy, a little sour and a little sweet, which even makes me eat two bowls of the noodle at once. Remember to pickle the carrot (and papaya first, before marinating the beef) since it takes at least 1 hour to get a good flavor on the carrot.

Don't get me wrong, the bun bo nam bo was good, but it lacked flavor and herbs relative to another place I tried (and darnit I wish I remembered the name...) nearby. It's a great dish it just may be worth venturing off the beaten path and trying out other options.

Hanoi fast food when it's best, recommended by our hotel, had a Bun Bo and a beer. The service was really good and the food was tasteful. Price was close to nothing. Highly recommended this place for a noodle dish

You will not be disappointed. The place was filled with locals. That's how you know its good! A good size bowl for a great price. I will definitely be going back.

Bun Bo Nam Bo is excellent, but prices are little bit above average here in Hanoi. Service is very quick and speaks good English. We were here twice during our stay in Hanoi. I can highly recommend this place.

We had the bun bo nam bo here twice during our few days in Hanoi. Super good and freshly made in front of your eyes. A truly masterful mix of sweet, savoury, crunchy and soft. Try also a fish sausage - they shold come with tasty hot chili dip. There is no reason to skip this place if you want... More

This restaurant came with an enthusiastic recommendation from our hotel. They were right! We stayed in Hanoi for 6 nights, and ate at this place on 3 or 4 occasions. The food is simple, but incredibly delicious, and ranks up there among the best meals that we had in Vietnam. Service is friendly and relaxed, and of course the food... More

Bun bo nam bo was the best meal we had in four days in Hanoi. It was about 14,000vnd for the meal and Pepsi was about 10,000. Must eat here if in Hanoi

A very local shop selling dried noodle had save us for almost everyday with the pho ! We like it as it was not really dried as they do add a bit of stew beef soup to enhance the texture of the noodle. The side dish od fish dumpling which wrap in banana leaf taste like fish saugage.

The food was really good, but not exceptional. The service was okay, but not exceptional. The place was authentic, but rather dirty (at least in the back of the restaurant). In my humble opinion, the current rating (#12/989) is much too high. After reading the outstanding feedbacks, I definitely expected more.

The food here is so delicious and so cheap. I would highly recommend grabbing a seat and having a dish here!
