Description: Bun bo Nam Bo is marinating the beef, then comes making 'nuoc cham' and the pickled vegetables (shredded carrot and papaya). The pickled vegies is crispy, a little sour and a little sweet, which even makes me eat two bowls of the noodle at once. Remember to pickle the carrot (and papaya first, before marinating the beef) since it takes at least 1 hour to get a good flavor on the carrot.

We went here twice during out stay in Hanoi. As with all street food places it does not look much on arrival and they specialise in the one dish, which they do very well! The Bun Bo is fresh and tasty, a good combination of beef, rice noodles, mint, peanuts, bean spouts, fried onions and broth. Its a great quick,... More

We were looking for supper and glad they are still open. Best bun bo i have ever eaten! You can taste the freshness of the ingredients too, and fast service. Try to overlook the condition of the restaurant. Focus on the bowl.

We have always had great experiences from Trip Advisor but this was not one of them. Having read the great reviews we headed over town to find this place and I'm afraid it was not great. There is only one dish on offer, noodles and pork and it was bland, luke warm and not very good. Cheap, yes, good, no.

The noodle is good, the service is quick but the price is expensive than many food street restaurants in Hanoi. You can fine many good and cheaper one.

Very disappointing! The Bun Bo was so bland, no taste at all. Could see the cook out the front just boiling the beef, so no wonder it tasted of nothing. Try somewhere else...unless you like bland food, that is!

Arrived in Vietnam after a long flight and saw this place on tripadvisor. Wanted to experience the real Vietnam and although heavy rain managed to find ok... Although small entrance. As other comments have stated it does what it says on the tin. Great wholesome food at incredible price and value. One option arrives quickly and is delicious and set... More

My first trip to Asia. 10 days in Shanghai, 10 days in Thailand, 3 days in Seoul and three days in Hanoi. This is the best street food, in fact maybe the best MEAL I've had in Asia, especially considering the price ($2.75). You come here for one dish. There is no other option, but its amazing. I added a... More

Food is absolutely delicious - we didn't get a choice and just got brought the dish. It is a fun atmosphere, absolutely packed with everyone squished onto tables. You absolutely must go here. Fantastic!
