Description: Bun bo Nam Bo is marinating the beef, then comes making 'nuoc cham' and the pickled vegetables (shredded carrot and papaya). The pickled vegies is crispy, a little sour and a little sweet, which even makes me eat two bowls of the noodle at once. Remember to pickle the carrot (and papaya first, before marinating the beef) since it takes at least 1 hour to get a good flavor on the carrot.

I took my tour group of 30 here one night. We were given the top little alcove, where most of us had to bend over, and we sat on the tiny plastic stools used by the locals. The steaming hot, delicious noodles were out in minutes and wolfed down by our group. The meal was deliciously tasty, cheap, provided an... More

Walked in and walked out. Disgusting place, so smelly, dirty, food just left out in baskets. Couldn't bring myself to even sit down.

The food very good. Food is not only young foodie favorite Vn but also attractive western diners. Bun bo Nam bo to grasp the true rustic living by the sweet and sour sauce scented with lemon combined with other vegetables, onions, bean sprouts and cool fleshy from roasted peanuts

Perfect combination of noodles, nuoc cham, beef, and roasted garlic.. mmmm. This was right by our hotel in the old quarter, but even if it wasn't, we would have walked the distance to get it. SO good, we came back with our friends twice! I am kind of picky when it comes to street food (Let's just say I don't... More

We went here because of the great reviews. The dish they serve is tasty and it's brought to you quickly and it's cheap - but the. Same is true of many of the street restaurants in the area. It's pretty grubby inside, with rubbish everywhere and cracked tiles. Yes, it's authentic but it doesn't particularly stand out.

When trying to find this place it can be very confusing, The restaurants name is the name of a dish and you will see it on walls and menus all around. Once we found the right place the food was lovely. Both myself and my GF had dishes with rice noddles. Mine were in a really tasty broth with meatballs... More

Rock up, sit down and there appears a bowl of freshly cooked ingredients making one of the tastiest meals I've had. Amazing value for money, simple and yet so effective. Not to be missed!

The best meal we had while in Hanoi. A menu with exotic choices, fresh ingredients and superb service. We liked it so much we patronized it several times.

Bun Bo Nam Bo serves up a delicious and inexpensive meal that have foreigners and Vietnamese filling up the tables day and night. Don't worry about not speaking Vietnamese-- this is the main dish and they will bring it to you straight away. It's 55,000 VND per bowl and I believe drinks were another 15,000 VND. You know it's a... More
