Description: Bun bo Nam Bo is marinating the beef, then comes making 'nuoc cham' and the pickled vegetables (shredded carrot and papaya). The pickled vegies is crispy, a little sour and a little sweet, which even makes me eat two bowls of the noodle at once. Remember to pickle the carrot (and papaya first, before marinating the beef) since it takes at least 1 hour to get a good flavor on the carrot.

After looking for somewhere near to our hostel to eat we stumbled across this place that was packed with locals and a few westerners , the food is cheap and the beer reasonable. Great for a meal to keep you going and for a place to cool of from the heat.

A local eatery! If it's good enough for the many locals that go there it's good enough for a tourist! You go in, sit down and order.... One dish. It's great! And grab a beer. The price is perfect for what you get. :)

One dish - great taste. Saves you the hazzle of choosing :) The bun bo nam bo (beef, noodles and lettuce in a bowl) is awesome. Very tasty and pretty cheap at VND 55k. Food is very fresh and you can see the preparation when you walk by the kitchen at the entrance. One should focus on the food and... More

My partner and I sat down here on a busy September lunch time, our drink orders immediately taken and delivered, surrounded by locale Vietnamese clientele. For places like this, that is always a good sign, we appeared to be the only non locals in the place, despite its prominence on trip advisor and other sites. We got talking to an... More

Cheap, fast and oh so good! Don't go there if you're looking for something fancy or a big menu. This is vietnamese street food at its best.

The food here simple excellent. It was reasonably priced, the staff are friendly, can speak a little English. I recommended travelers to come here and try cheap but delicious food.

One of the best tastes from our trip. A hole in the wall place that is packed with locals. Come here, sit down, and enjoy.

This is a local specialty food shop, and was highly recommended by my friend. Hence, we decided to head to the shop for our first meal in Hanoi. We didn't know how to order as all the words were in Vietnamese, just told the lady 2 bowls and I guessed we were served the standard type. We tried, and were... More
