Description: Bun bo Nam Bo is marinating the beef, then comes making 'nuoc cham' and the pickled vegetables (shredded carrot and papaya). The pickled vegies is crispy, a little sour and a little sweet, which even makes me eat two bowls of the noodle at once. Remember to pickle the carrot (and papaya first, before marinating the beef) since it takes at least 1 hour to get a good flavor on the carrot.

Their signature noodles "Bun Bo Nam Bo" was good but the waiters service were quite unfriendly. We tried to order more food but was ignored by them. Probably because they can't speak English.

Tried the bun bo via one of the street food tour. It's a dried (without soup) noodle called bun with salad garnish, nuts and good amount of beef. The dish is large enough to be shared with my partner. The restaurant is small and narrow and you sit on those small little chairs at short tables. We enjoyed the noodles... More

Went here for some quick food on our way home. From the outside it doesn't look like much but great inside and you won't be disappointed. The place is usually busy with locals and tourists. We say down and the waitress came over held up 2 fingers we nodded and 5 minutes later we had 2 bowls of beef noodle... More

I've tried my very first "bun bo Nam Bo" here in this restaurant. The dish is delicious but I'm not really into the staffs. They are kinda indifferent and cold which makes me feel not comfortable every time I come here. The atmosphere rushes me into enjoying the dish. Moreover, the price is overcharged a little bit. I recommend other... More

Visited the restaurant earlier this week. It's located on the main street, easy to spot. This dish is a warm noodle dish, served with salad-type vegetables, and cooked beef. It is large enough for 2 people to share, and is great option for lunch.

The set price is 55,000 which may seem steep but you actually get a decent a ount of beef unlike some westernised restaurants selling the same dish at that price who skimp on the beef. There is plenty of greens and noodles and you get to sit on one of those little plastic chairs with all the locals whose i... More

This restaurant is absolutely worth going to. It makes really only the one dish, bun bo nam bo, but it does it so well. The beef is really tasty, as are the noodles. We weren't 100% sure about the raw vegetables, so kind of pushed them to the side, and when we ordered an additional dish, we asked them to... More

you want to eat real local food instead of Hyatt Regency food (like some tourist) then come here and eat where the locals eat. Nothing fancy here, just authentic local food. You don't even have to say a word when you walk in. I came here by myself. Their most popular dish is made with beef and is cooked to... More

I asked my hotel guy about this food and he told me that it is actually not a delicacy of Hanoi but of Saigon's. He explained it in detail what the words Bun Bo Nam Bo meant and how it is linked to South Vietnam and not North. However, he said I could still try it if I wanted to.... More
