La Salsa is across the road from St Joseph's Cathedral. The dining room is up a number of stairs so may be unsuitable for those with walking difficulties although you can eat in the bar on the ground floor. There's a great selection of food available including a good variety of tapas such as Patatas Bravas, Tortilla Espanol etc. We... More

La Salsa is open all day. One evening we filled the table with tapas and draught beer and had a very delicious, filling dinner for 4 for less than US$35, including meatballs, spicy sausages, fried mushrooms, goat cheese, smoked salmon, calamari and chorizo. Great service and great location, so we returned a few days later in the afternoon for a... More

We picked this restaurants as we wanted good tapas and the prices indicated quality. a As soon as I saw my Calamari I knew it wouldn't be good, it was covered in way too much batter, they were very oily and lacked taste. None of the other dishes dishes we ordered were outstanding either. We expected fantastic food and were... More

We went for the tapas option and filled the table with loads of lovely little dishes (a great range of which are vegetarian!!) and had a really nice filling meal washed down with a lemon sorbet milkshake each which were divine. This restaurant has a great location, close to the backpacking area of Hanoi, and really friendly and attentive staff... More

We've had plenty of tapas in Spain and UK before so this felt a safe option for our first night in Vietnam; jet-lagged and frazzled from walking the streets all day, we didn't have the energy to go for anything more local. The menu has lots of French and Spanish options as well as some Italian. We stuck with the... More

Stopped here on a cold night and I'm glad I did. The staff was friendly and warm. The atmosphere was great and the food was really good.

I have come to this restaurant for ten years. It is a great place with wonderful staff, frustratingly the kitchen has always been kind of hit n' miss. The paella can be excellent or rather bland, and the same seems to apply to many other main courses. As I recall, the tapas have never let me down! So go, but... More

Just back from this place and feel forced to tell people to avoid it. Nice terrace and service but nothing else good about it. Overpriced but the main thing in any retaurant is the food and both our dishes were truly awful (pasta and cassoulet). How this is rated in the top ten percent of eateries in Hanoi I do... More
