Wonderful food

We had lunch, the food was delicious, service very gracious. Deep fried spring rolls were tasty and not greasy. Fish was beautifully cooked.

The Ly Club has a lovely, stylish interior and a menu with eastern and western food. But the meat was stringy, the fish over fried, the sauces poorly flavored. Our party of four received three of the entrees and the fourth was overlooked. It was three times as expensive as anywhere else we ate in Hanoi.

This was recommended by our guide. Up until this place, his suggestions were spot on. However this time I should have read up on some of the less favourable reviews on TA. The place is well passed its sell by date, average food, expensive, expensive wine list, mediocre service. Am not going to drone on but I would pass on... More

Ly Club, around the corner from the exquisite Metropole hotel, is sophisticated restaurant bathed in soft tones enter via a gated garden. Ambiance and service are first rate with a soothing classical harpist serenading in the background. The menu is varied with the restaurant's specialties starred. We went with an array of their specialties and were not disappointed. The presentation... More

Service is something really special when you are having food, and Vietnamese people are great for it. They told me it was a French restaurant but it has also great Vietnamese menu. The place is old style by beautiful and they even have live music. All the dishes where delicious is a great place to have a nice calm dinner... More

It was our first day in Hanoi. Getting used to everything. This place took good care of us. We had the number three tasting menu. I think it was 8 courses and about $35. Beautiful and tasty food and cheap price by western standards in lovely building. Nice restrooms. Took credit cards. Go there.

Do you want to find some of the old French spirit in Hanoi this is a good place to go, both in terms of food and style. Really cool building with a really cool atmosphere. Great mix of Vietnamese and western food, clearly separated in different parts of the menu. The food isn't extraordinary but it is really good. The... More

This restaurant is in an old French house which has a lot of charm. The food is Vietnamese with a French accent. We were there Christmas Eve and had a special menu, but the regular menu looked good too. Reasonably priced.

The menu is so mouth watering but the cost of food i think goes towards paying for the expensive menu. Food is average. Service is good.

Visited last night to try some traditional Vietnamese food. Even on a Sunday when it was quieter than normal the atmosphere was good. I had one of the signature cocktails (delicious), spicy soup to start (fantastic) and the house special pears wrapped in beef for main. I had never seen it before so had to try it, and it was...
