My fav fine dining Vietnamese restaurant

Ended up at this restaurant because of a meeting nearby. Since then I have been a regular whenever I come to Vietnam.

I must admit that Ly Club is truly beautiful inside and the service is impeccable; however, although the food is good and the presentation is ridiculously beautiful, the taste of the food does not match the ambiance or the price. The best way to describe the food is "clean" because each and every dish we had was very one note:... More

Another top rated restaurant that has lost its luster. The stucco wall next to our table was crumbling. The menu was okay, as was the decor, and both need serious updating. Prices were comparable to US, but mixed alcohol beverages were relatively reasonable. They had a pianist, which was a nice touch, and the service was quite good.

We decided to plan one "nice" dinner during our stay in Hanoi, and chose the Ly Club based on outstanding reviews online and in the Lonely Planet travel guide. The food here is expensive compared to other restaurants in Hanoi, but nowhere near what you'd pay for a meal of this caliber in the US. We had an absolutely delicious... More

In a colonial setting you are welcomed by friendly staff and offered a wide choice of menus besides an interesting à la carte option. On a double visit we tried two different menus that were priced fairly and served accordingly; in addition live music, relax and an excellent quality of wine and food. Our preference went to local cuisine even... More

Very delicious authentic Vietnamese food in such a cozy space. The menu offers a variety of dinning options. As a Vietnamese, I must say Ly Club has made a good job to bring about truly Vietnamese dishes, from the flavor to the dedicated decoration of each plate! If only the staff could smile a little more.

The food is good. The service is kind, but not experts nor professionals. The price is really exagerated. We have paid as much as in a quite luxury restaurant in Europe and the service was not according. The service is kind but not knowing the product they sell. in summary it doesn't worth the high price.

Old colonial building near to the Opera and Metropole Hotel. Staff very friendly and good atmosphere with Vietnam traditional music. Good fusion of new ideas with Traditional Vietnamese food and wonderfully presented. Great cocktails !

Quick verdict: the exceptional service and inspiring décor & atmosphere is the draw here, the food is very good too, but Ly Club is unquestionably expensive by local standards (still, if you want to draw an international comparison, then it’s perhaps just a fourth of what the equivalent in NYC or Tokyo would cost). It is more fair to call... More

Restaurant space is one mansion built French-style architecture, the layout is quite nice, friendly staff, food has many choices and price compared to other restaurants may be more expensive, but I need palatable food hygiene. We had quite a delicious meal on the weekends, the restaurant also has one of great entertainment shows, if you come to Hanoi you should... More
