Do try the Steamed Snow Fish with Soy Sauce

Very good dinner but by far, the snow fish was outstanding and spectacular. Mellow music by live piano player brought good memories.

We had a great dinner here last night with local friends. Service impeccable. Coconut and ginger soup. Duck a la orange bliss. Prawn herb salad on dry ice delicious and spectacular. Chicken with honey etc all excellent.

We went to this restaurant on the advice of our tour guide as we were staying close by at the Metropole Hotel. There was an excellent choice menu with great service at a not unreasonable price (by Western standards). We drank a bottle of the local Vietnamese Merlot (Da Lat?) which was excellent and never available in any other restaurant... More

We had dinner here in late January. I am amazed that there are any bad reviews as we found the food to be fabulous. The restaurant is 3 blocks from the Metropole Hotel where we were staying. The room we were in was great looking and the seats were comfortable, the service was very good. We had a mix of... More

We had dinner at Ly Club and thought it to be one of our best meals in the ten days we were in Vietnam. The restaurant is located in an old colonial mansion. The high ceilings and retro decor give it a very welcoming feeling. We particularly liked the fried soft shell crab and rice noodles with crab. Ly Club... More

We were due to leave early but got notification from the airline of a delay so had time to kill, so we came to The Ly Club (around the corner from The Metropole Hotel) and had an excellent meal (with vietnamese wine, which was drinkable in Merlot format). Food was good, service attentive and the French Villa style atmosphere classy.... More

We nearly pulled out of our booking for this restaurant after seeing some of the bad reviews but we really enjoyed our evening. We chose a Vietnamese set menu and the food was excellent. The ambience was good and the customers a mix of Western and Asian. Service very good. Don't let some of the bad reviews put you off!

Beautiful old mansion, atmospheric setting - everything seems to be promising. But, alas, I found it overwhelmingly mediocre. I didn't try the Euro menu, so maybe it's what they do better, but the Viet dishes were bland, touristified, totally lacking in complexity or authenticity. No a single Viet face in there : bad sign. Mostly European tour groups. There is... More

From the time our taxi door was opened to the time it was closed for us, we had a great experience. Ly Club has a classy easiness about it. Friendly, efficient, helpful staff ushered us to our table in the upstairs room that is a lovely nod to older more colonial time. The wine list is good with nice, if... More

We went for Western menu starting with pumpkin soup with corn and ginger, then pan-seared snowfish and rib-eye steak, and finished strong with baked apple-cinnamon crumble. The flavors in those dishes are absolutely elevated to another level, the quality (of western food) that up until this moment I've never tasted anywhere else in Vietnam. From overall plating to the texture... More
