Somebody give these people a Michelin star, please

We went for Western menu starting with pumpkin soup with corn and ginger, then pan-seared snowfish and rib-eye steak, and finished strong with baked apple-cinnamon crumble. The flavors in those dishes are absolutely elevated to another level, the quality (of western food) that up until this moment I've never tasted anywhere else in Vietnam. From overall plating to the texture... More

We were surprised with this very good restaurant in Hanoi. We were a party of 4, and we wanted a nice restaurant with both vietnamese and international food. We were not impressed by the ambiance at first sight, but the waiter was extremely helpful and efficient. His name is YAN THA, and he really made a difference. At the end both... More

My partner and I read the reviews on this site very carefully before choosing this restaurant. Some were terrible, and some were very flattering. We chose to think that the poor reviews were unlucky bad-mood reviews, but NOT SO. Vietnam is so wonderful in terms of food. But not only is this restaurant drab and tarnished, the food is appalling.... More

Have all of these reviewers never been to a real Vietnamese restaurant? Or are they after the Western menu here? Either way as soon as we walked in we could tell it was a super touristy place that no local would ever eat at. The food wasn't bad but had none of the flavor we were hoping for even after... More

The restaurant is an old colonial house, tranquil and calm, the staff are attentive and charming. But the food is outstanding! There is a large menu of both Vietnamese and Western dishes. I had the prawn, avocado and banana spring rolls and only regretted that I couldn't have the started again! They were wonderful, as was the butternut squash and... More

We had a wonderful, but expensive, family dinner at the Ly Club when travelling in Vietnam. We could have saved a little if we avoided the cocktails etc but once we were there for a special family celebration we did enjoy the splurge!! Delicious food and drinks. Wonderful service.

Unique menu, and the appetizers were great (we got make-your-own spring rolls). The atmosphere was romantic and quite. a bit pricey but off the beaten path and a perfect spot for the last dinner in Hanoi!

Great location in the old quarter in an old chateau beautifully decorated. The service was very good.. The Vietnamese style salads we started with were excellent.. They were almost enough to fill up four of us.. We ordered two main dishes, one was honey baked chicken.. The other was fish. The chicken was so dry and chewy I thought it... More

A meal at the Ly Club in Ha Noi's Old Quarter can be a marvelous highlight of your visit to this ancient city. The menu offers a wide array of gourmet dishes (including Vietnamese, Asian fusion, and "western" cuisine) that are served with flair by delightful, attentive (yet unobstrusive), and extremely polite wait staff (who can also speak English quite... We were ready for a white tablecloth experience and great food. Club Ly did not disappoint. The interior has lovely ambiance enhanced by live piano the evening we were there. Food was delicious and artistically presented. Loved the squash soup and every entre. We were back to the metropole after a block walk. Thanks to our guide, hai , for... More
