pleasant french-vietnamese restaurant

Had a very pleasant dinner here. The food is a mixture of French and Vietnamese with plenty of space, attentive staff, and good local wine (dalat). also well located for the centre of town.

I loved the clam salad and the Five Elements cocktail which included a zingy combination of Asian spices. However, the overall cuisine was too expat French for my liking - though others will surely love it. Also, while I was initially impressed at how well the menu was written, it didn't actually state that many of the dishes we ordered... More

We were told the Ly Club was a must to try in Hanoi. What a disappointment, the food whilst not terrible, was bland and overpriced. The atmosphere dull with a pianist going through the motions. The staff looked bored and uninterested. Certainly in our opinion not worth the money.

Great atmosphere created by imaginative decor, musician and attentive staff. Cuisine was a good mixture of local and western food. Good wine list. Highly recommended.

Great food, great drinks, great prices! The services was impeccable. We were only in Hanoi for one night...if we had stayed longer, we would have returned for another go at the amazing menu!

We ate here one evening on the recommendation of our tour guide and we thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The restaurant is located in the Old Quarter in a lovely old house, close to the Sofitel Legend Metropole. Service was excellent, the appetizers of soup and Ly Club five basic elements were superb, and the duck breast mouth watering. A... More

Feels like a French colonial influence in lovely old building. Food quite good but lacks some professionalism. Some food not very hot, forgot to bring wine, water glasses not filled, ran out of signature dessert. Expensive by Vietnamese standards and service should be better.

My friend and I went for dinner at Ly Club on recommendation from our hotel. It was most certainly the right choice. The restaurant is more formal than most of the other ones we came across in Hanoi but in a positive way. The service was excellent, nice atmosphere and the food was delicious. The wine options were vast and... More

My sister and I went to Ly Club on our last night in Hanoi because we wanted to go somewhere special to mark the end of a great holiday and it was very close to where we were staying (the Sofitel Legend Metropole). We weren't disappointed with our choice. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, the staff are friendly and attentive... More

Very good dinner but by far, the snow fish was outstanding and spectacular. Mellow music by live piano player brought good memories.
