Good Food, wine but felt a little ripped off!

It was our last night in Hanoi and my husband and I decided to try Le Beaulieu for dinner. The menu was impressive as was the wine list. We started with a tomato/bocconi salad which was amazing and also a prawn ravioli which was also amazing. I had decided to be very extravagant and order Lobster... read more

A few years ago we had a memorable meal here and were looking forward to a repeat. On a Saturday night this beautiful room was almost empty. My cocktail, Jasmine, was one of the best. The bread was cold. The lobster bisque, made at the table, was excellent, but the onion soup was bland. The snails in garlic butter were... More

instead of taking time for the large buffet, we wanted to have pastries and coffee. No problem. The bread basket had wonderful French delights and the French press coffee was delicious. Let us get to sight seeing quickly. And better and cheaper than the French bakery north of the lake.

We were hoping for a retro experience in Hanoi by going to this French restaurant. The setting is beautiful and the service excellent. The wine menu is thorough. However, the sommolier recently resigned and has not been replaced. The restaurant manager tried to assume this role, but clearly knew nothing about wine. We ordered the Degustation menu and were very... More

We went there for dinner. The food and service is good but does not worth the price tag which is way too expensive by Hanoi standard.

Had a wonderful dinner here. The French onion soup was superb and the seabass was the best I have ever had. Try to get a table outside, on a warm night and ask for Song. (they do have gas heaters) He is the best waiter at the restaurant and maybe all of Hanoi. Enjoy your dinner

We chose this place for our romantic birthday dinner with my husband. We booked a table in advance, and I believe that was a right thing to do, because there were no free tables at all. It is better to ask for a table right under the windows, they look more cosy. For dinner we had French onion soup, French... More
