From the greeting to the farewell, my wife and I had as good a fine dining experience as we'd had anywhere in the world.Food and service excellent.The only minor negative was the elevator style music piping through the restaurants sound system.

What was the chef thinking that s/he could serve a coq au vin dish that contained chicken so tough it would not yield to a knife, in a gravy so dark and lacking in delicacy it should have belonged to an overlooked pot roast! This is to voice a slight concern about the evolution of food quality at the buffet over the past weeks. We are staying at the hotel and decided to have a French style dinner after being in Vietnam for almost one week. What a great experience! The wine selection was much better than some of our NYC places... The steak that he had was cooked perfectly and my onion soup, very French! Two thumbs up!

I went here specifically for the steak bearnaise; as so highly recommended from friends and family who have stayed and dined here. I ordered medium rare; but got very little pink. Had dinner at this restaurant in the Metropol Hotel in Hanoi to celebrate my birthday. Amazing food and wine and excellent service. The sommelier was exemplary. The chef has made an astounding effort with the degustation menu, even came to meet us at our table. Truly the highlight of our trip to Hanoi.
